RIP Catboy. Loved how he would record the Hibs goals and put them on Twitter. Always helpful to us international fans!

Sad news, rest in peace Freddie. Didn't know him but he seemed like a good guy. Couldn't understand the grief he was given on here about transfer gossip.

Same view as others here. Loved his scoops as The Cat and had a few DM exchanges on Twitter - came over as a good guy and always had a positive outlook even when in hospital. RIP and big condolences to his family.

Very sad news. A lovely lad, this place was never the same once he left for me. Always positive and full of good gossip. His Hibs goals twitter feed will be missed. Optimistic and brave til the end. RIP Cat 123

Seen this posted on twitter via one of Freddies close pals
Minutes applause
Can we all come together
In the 23rd minute. A minutes applause for fellow Hibs fan Freddie white (45) who passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by all his family. Freddie who suffered from cystic fibrosis would regularly attend Easter Road with his son Mason, partner Michelle and Dad Freddy.SCOTTISH CUP WINNERS 2016

Very sad to hear this. Didn't know Freddie outside of here but this place was all the better for his contributions and I enjoyed reading his posts over the years. Was very much in the know with what was going on in the transfer market I remember. Condolences to friends and family. RIP Cat

I had the absolute pleasure of starting the same day at Liberton as Freddy and having a good friendship there with his best mate Darren. Absolutely gutted to learn this today. RIP Freddy.

Sad news
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Very sorry to hear that news. He was a good poster, one I looked forward to seeing put something in. There was a young man in my daughters class that had a terminal disease Massive Gers fan. Freddy arranged a pair of signed boots from his mate Kenny Miller, who visited Jak in the hospital. Top guy. Condoka ces to his family.

Was gutted to find out. Last time i spoke to Freddie he had mentioned it wasn't good so when i realised he'd been inactive online for a bit i feared the worst.
One of the good guys. Rest in peace Freddie.

Doesn’t know him personally but enjoyed interacting. In the know, yes, but also always balanced. On those toxic weekends when a defeat brings out all the worst responses you could rely on him to restore some balance and good sense. RIP and all good wishes to his family.
