    Top 6 Run In

    Dundee - 36 points

    Rangers H L
    St Johnstone A D
    Motherwell H D
    Aberdeen A W

    Points at split = 41

    Hibs - 35 points

    Livingston H W
    Rangers A L
    St Johnstone H W
    Motherwell A D

    Points at split = 42

    Motherwell - 32 points

    Aberdeen H W
    St Mirren H D
    Dundee A D
    Hibs H D

    Points at split = 38

So with the above fixtures in mind how do we think the run in will look? I've put my predictions in with Hibs pipping Dundee to the post on 42 points.

Dundee and Motherwell both have 11 losses and have drawn twice already this season.

We have 11 draws, the joint highest (Motherwell and Kilmarnock, 11 draws each) in the league which shouldn't be surprising to anyone.

It's so tight. Dropping those 2 points Wednesday might come back to haunt us. Really need to be clear of Motherwell before the last game pre split aswell, if we are we are capable of sneaking a win there too.

No doubt be a few twists and turns yet, everyone assuming Dundee will lose to Rangers at the weekend - they have more chance than what we'll have at Ibrox.

Quite depressing it's come to this scramble just for top 6. Was fairly confident before we dropped points at County and Dundee beat Aberdeen but don't think we are favourites for it now, it's 50/50.

I absolutely want to give Monty time but if it is a bottom 6 finish then conversations need to be had.

Honestly finding myself just not caring and wanting another mess of a season over with.

Dundee won’t beat Aberdeen at pittodrie so they will finish on 38 points unless they beat st.johnstone.

I cannot see Dundee only picking up 5 points with those fixtures. I think they will at least match what we do, I expect we will be bottom 6 based on that.

We will win our two home games. We’ll lose at Ibrox so it’ll probably come down to the Motherwell game.

If we take 7 points I think we’ll be ok.

Still looking above us as well. We should make up points on at least one of the two above us tomorrow. St Mirren have a difficult run up to the split and I think we’ll take more points than them over that period.

Dons fans on AFC Chat are saying they were lucky not to lose by 4 or more at Dens & they can't see Aberdeen winning again

That equaliser on Wednesday really was a disaster.

We've got the better fixtures compared to Dundee. Although I do agree that the 2 points dropped on Wednesday was absolutely not ideal, I still predict we'll finish top 6 based on our fixtures vs theirs.

We'll be back in 6th position come this Sunday.

Yup and if Dundee get something against a tired Sevco on Sunday we're completely stuffed. Dundee could easily get 9 points from their last three pre-split games too leaving us needing a win at Ibrox.

If they get 7 points we need three wins and I can't see us getting that.

Dundee will get 5 points maximum that’s my prediction, but I ain’t sure how many we will get tho. If we don’t win tomorrow it will turn toxic and the fans will turn on monty.

    Dundee - 36 points

    Rangers H L
    St Johnstone A W
    Motherwell H W
    Aberdeen A D

    Points at split = 43

    Hibs - 35 points

    Livingston H W
    Rangers A L
    St Johnstone H W
    Motherwell A W

    Points at split = 44

Motherwell have no chance and it will go to the last game for 6th between Hibs and Dundee.

Have no confidence in us winning any of the games. Probably draw more than win and pointless trying to work out what games we will win or draw or lose as no doubt Hibs will let us down

Dundee will nick it by a point. But we’re not good enough this season to catch any of the top 5, so we won’t make Europe. Just getting top 6 means nothing anyway so doesn’t really matter now.

The fact there is a thread about this should be an eye opener how poor this season has been.

As mentioned before Foley and Co now board members would be happy with this type of struggle in seasons to come.

If there is any doubt within the board about Monty long term, I’d rather they just emptied him now rather than do an LJ, give him a window over the summer, lose the first 3-4 games then get somebody.

We did. The only time Livi have scored 3 goals in a league game this season. Hibs and St Johnstone are the only teams who have failed to score more than 2 goals in a Premiership league game this season.

    Thanks Jim , fixed 👍

Wouldn’t write off Motherwell - 2 unbeaten and 3 home games out of 4 including Hibs and St Mirren.
