If ever you needed an example as to how much the National broadcaster wants to sweep this under the carpet then there you have it. The failure to even mention the S word never mind discuss it couldn’t have been clearer.
Chris McLaughlin you complete and utter embarrassment. This is what you’re up against

Below which I’ve put on the PM board as well.
If I were Hibs I’d target the BBC as well on the back of last nights statement. **** them all. Proper siege mentality required, an all out offensive on anyone and everyone who we a have cast iron perception of being against us. Scottish football is a tree that needs shaken, for decades now it has been heavily favoured towards the Glasgow two and its high time the SFA, the government and our pathetic media were called out for it. Hopefully with BKFC’s millions we will have the wherewithal to hand out a good few bloody noses on the park as well. This is our time."Play for the name on the front of the jersey and the supporters will remember the name on the back"

Tbf the news caster herself mentioned it (can't mind her name) which was more than I expected. Bit cheeky for Chris to pass over it and focus on everything else mind.

Folks were taking aim at the puppets not the puppet masters.
Here’s a thing …
riddle me this - can anyone uncover who the editor and producers of Sportsound and Sportscene are.
they are the ones who exert the control."We know the people who have invested so far are simple fans." Vladimir Romanov - Scotsman 10th December 2012
"Romanov was like a breath of fresh air - laced with cyanide." Me.

As others have mentioned we are acting and if they don’t like it, doesn’t to report it correctly then it’s clear who they pander too!
If this type of singing is not condoned by those at BBC Scotland (I include Sportsound and Sportscene) then we know.
We do however know that they will turn this on the club even more.

The problem is if you read that as a non-Hibs fan alongside the match report and watch the McLaughlin interview, youd assume you were just a paranoid fan whos got sour grapes. Thats the implication of talking about this in the media when the medias not interested in objectivity. Its like me going on GB news

So if the singing was anti semitic, anti Muslim, anti black or anti LGBTQ could you imagine the uproar but sectarian, well that's just normal in Scotland, nothing to get excited about. The cancer Scottish football has to live with.

Chris McLaughlin will be reading a script. Editorial is in charge of what he says and what he doesn't say.

Chris McLaughlin made comment of sectarian chanting by Rangers fans in his report of a game at Easter Road in 2015, which was met by such fury within Ibrox his media facilities at both Ibrox and Murray Park were withdrawn.
The BBC then opted to stand in solidarity with McLaughlin by refusing to send any BBC reporters to Ibrox, and the dispute raged on for seven years before it was eventually resolved when Rangers lifted the reporting restrictions on McLaughlin.
The BBC are obviously tip-toeing round using certain phrases in case they reopen an old dispute, and could explain why they’re choosing their words carefully at this time.
It really is a ridiculous state of affairs.

Watched the BBC evening news and was utterly flabbergasted. The initial presenter, in her intro to the program mentioned sectarianism.
The actual article gave brief mention of Hibs intention to reduce allocation for “some”‘visiting supporters. The presenter then went on to say that Hibs acknowledge that our own fans have not behaved well recently.
The presentation then went on to highlight examples of bad behaviour:
Hibs supporters throwing missiles at Tynecastle
Hibs supporters causing damage to seats at Fir Park
And a picture of anonymous supporters letting off flares. (Hard to tell but may have been the the rangers supporters but looked generic)
If ever the idiots amongst our support need a demonstration on the damage they do to our club ability to make change this was a very good example.
As fir the BBC, they are a disgrace.

There's been previous people who have spoken up about it at the BBC down the years, they've either lost there jobs or withdrawn what they've said.

That said, the only way to defeat bullies is to stand up to them. So more power to the Club and I hope Hearts, Aberdeen and others choose to stand shoulder-to-shoulder. We shall see ...
