Someone you hate when plays for the opposition but he seems to have the same protection Scott brown had when at Celtic. Never gets booked despite numerous fouls per game

No Hibs player would ever get away with what he does

maybe that’s one for Tom English next time round Matty?

I’d be also interested in his take on the media’s treatment/ hounding of (in particular) Ryan Porteous or other star players that may be a thorn in the uglies sides… and what of Richard Gordon’s treatment of Doidge? Even when he started hanging them in he could nt bring himself to acknowledge his performances - shameful.

id also like to ask the extent to which the pundits have a free reign or editorial / producers steer the discussion

I agree to an extent, but Joe Newell occupies that role for Hibs, and other clubs fans see him in a similar light apparently. But Shinnie is another level.

His nickname should be Elizabeth Taylor because of the number of times he's been taken over the threshold.

I don't think it was her hobby as such.

    Just a frequent activity.

Newell gets booked for his fouls tho

Karma for him. Spends all game, every game, complaining and it’s cost him (even if he had a right to have a go for once). Prick.

He was lucky to go as long as he did without a booking and then very lucky not to pick up a red for continuing to run his mouth after he was booked.

The irony, of course, being that the challenge he was complaining about is as clear a foul as you’ll ever see and he had every right to be livid.

Why is looked upon as luck?

That's how he behaves in most games I've seen him play. Quite a few fouls, is allowed to mouth off persistently to refs.

Where is the luck if he showing that behaviour in most games?
