In recent years we `ve played friendlies in early July or even late June before starting League Cup group games in mid July or European qualifiers about the same time . There were a couple of hundred Hibs fans at friendlies in early July in Portugal in 2022 and Spain in 2023 so I suppose there are folk who`d like to know if there are any plans to play abroad in early July again . If we win the SC our first competitive game will probably be when the league starts in early August but if we don`t win cup we `ll start in mid July with LC group matches or with UEFA qualifiers in mid or late August .
