Thanks Gordon. Hope John is doing ok. GGTTH
Scott, John is doing ok, not brilliant but ok for a 90 year old dyed in the wool (just like Douglas) Hibby. Hasn’t been to ER for a number of years now as his mobility hasn’t been good for some time now. Lockdown did him no favours (as most) whatsoever…

I’ll pass on this sad news to him… Take care 💚 GGTTH

Really sorry to hear that news Scott. Dougie was a legend in Leith. I've passed the sad news on to a few mates who knew him better than me, and we all wish you, John and the whole family all the best.

Hi folks. A few of you will have known my Dad who sadly passed away peacefully at home yesterday after a long illness. My Dad had his first European away day in Hamburg in the 60’s and then missed very few games until he became ill and couldn’t travel. He managed the games in the Faroes and Molde a few years ago but was too Ill to get to San Marino, Lucerne or Villa this season. He loved overseas pre season tours and him and my Mum, Betty, had some brilliant trips and met loads of fantastic Hibbys in some cracking places. He’ll be sorely missed by all of his family and his many friends in the Hibs family. He’s up there with the angels now. Miss you Dad 💔💚
So sorry to hear this Scott. Dougie was such a friendly and kind bloke, and his enthusiasm for Hibs was almost matched by that for Leith Franklin Cricket Club, where he exerted such a positive influence over the years and made the club a welcoming place.
Definitely one of the good guys.
    RIP Dougie, from another Dougie.
