I was just considering subscribing to the podcast because I enjoyed the Tom English interview, but then it was if I had been brutally punched in the solar plexus!

Colin said that the first half on Saturday was "turgid". Matty initially pulled him up about it but ended up agreeing with him.

Turgid can mean boring but it specifically refers to speech and writing not sport or movement.

When people say the game was turgid, they're saying it was slow, dull, sluggish, apathetic and /or lethargic and the word for that is "Torpid".

So, name check or not, you can ram your £3.00!

‘Turgid’ means a good thing in relation to taking cuttings from plants. Full of moisture and photosynthetic ability=turgid.

    'Turgid' also=fully erect.

...which is where I think a veil should be drawn over proceedings.

Matty, I use Pocket casts to listen to pods. Now that I've subscribed, is there a way to import yours so I don't have to listen to this CFO pratt at the beginning anymore?

    Or must I use Patron?

You should be able you copy your RSS link from Patreon and add it to Pocketcasts - failing that you can use Spotify or Podcasts (iPhone) for it.

I’ll have a look and make sure Pocketcasts is compatible.

Edit: when you open Pocket Casts there’s a bar at the top, just paste the RSS in there and that should be you sorted.

You’ll need to unfollow the free one, or if you can’t be bothered with that then the ad-free ones are the ones with the smaller logo

PM me if you get stuck

Good ep guys. Loved the ending. Collin trying to get away like a blind date gone wrong.
