The other interesting thing I heard recently (for any neighbours looking in 👀) was Ron was offered the chance to buy/invest in 3 Scottish clubs, Hearts being one of them with Budge keen to sell. Ron chose us. Wee bit off topic but found it very interesting to know.

But didn't that Jambo twat from the Gaurdian compare this to the Wallace Mercer takeover attempt?

How could Budge have been in a position to sell?

I mean, it doesn't really look so bad for them. The Gordons ownership hasn't been that great so far.

Don’t know the ins and outs of it mate but he was invited to invest in them so I assume it would have been buying her out. Came via a chat my friend had recently with a director.

    I'm on board.

I'll put aside my natural negativity and look forward with optimism.

I just hope there is method and structure allied with the stated ambition at the club going forward. We have a need for good people at the club who know what they are doing. I'm now into my late 50's and it would give me great pleasure to witness an attractive, attacking Hibs side who achieve success.

Frequent European nights, similar to those I watched in the 70's with my late dad would be great.

Delighted at the news. Serious time, effort and money being invested into Hibernian. Well done to the Gordon family, BK, and everyone else involved in getting this over the line.

HTC to be fully floodlight, new astro pitches for community use, and an Astro Dome like this.

New home for the ladies team. New BTG @ER plus safe standing. Community offices in the FF stand and more cash for players.

to think people wanted to vote against this!!!
    Looks tremendous that

They’re ahead football wise MW no doubt about that. Just found it interesting that RG had been offered three clubs. Anyway, today is a huge huge step towards improving on field performance - I’m looking forward not back 😊

I was in Reading years ago and I think they had something like this close to their stadium. Would be great to have something along those lines.

That we could call our own - unlike the tramps.

He’s at this precise moment in time tearing the sleeves off of his musty beige cardigan in a fury, whilst simultaneously flogging himself with a copy of The Sunday Post.

Anyone know the context of what Montgomery said about the women’s team not feeling welcome at HTC before he came in? I wouldn’t have thought much about it until he said “but I won’t go into the reasons why that was” which made it sound like the previous manager was a prick to them

I’m sure you would have loved if we’d got relegated like Hearts did considering how much of a hard-on you get for the 3 years we spent in the Championship.

Looking forward to seeing the investment on and off the pitch.

PS: I must declare an interest at this point as I voted in favour.

    Pardon?

I didn't love our time in the championship, but only an idiot would deny we were signing better players then. And you know, we won a trophy.

We need much better from current ownership when it comes to to the playing side. This investment is good news, if they spend it well, which I'm not convinced will happen.

Is this just 6 m or 3 m per season or a one off payment for hibs by the bk group

TBH the success of two clubs in Scotland is quite clear proof that money makes a difference in this league

Jimmy Jeggo, Christian Doidge, Elias Melkerson versus Maolida, Marcondes and Moriah Welsh ?

    It’s already happening.

We will have £6m from them at some point, whether that's immediately or staged is not clear.

Doidge was a great player for Hibs. Strange to mention him.

We'll see how good Maolida and Marcondes are tomorrow. Problem with their signings is the season is already ****ed, with the big prize of 3rd being long gone.

Could see Kit Gordon getting a bit emotional at times tonight, must be hard for her hearing her husband being mentioned loads and not having him there.
