Seemed to be going well - good flow and pace. Then they opened up to football questions and now nothing seems to be worth updating us on.
Amazed someone wasted the time to ask about us not getting in the referee's faces enough. Of all the things to talk about.

Hibernian FC is delighted to announce that Black Knight Football Club’s minority investment proposal was ratified at the Club’s 2024 Annual General Meeting this evening (Tuesday 27 February, 2024).

Following AGM approval and Hibernian FC agreeing to certain undertakings and commitments at the request of the Scottish FA, Black Knight Football Club (BKFC) have completed the acquisition of 25% of the Club’s shares.

This investment and strategic partnership is the first of its kind in Scotland, with the Scottish FA approving Hibernian FC’s ‘dual interest dispensation request’ that sits under Article 13*.

Black Knight Football Club will now invest a significant seven-figure sum into Hibernian FC that will be used on developing the Club’s infrastructure at Easter Road and the Hibernian Training Centre, alongside increasing the First Team budget to aid sporting performance.

Hibernian FC will also be part of the BKFC network, which sees partnerships with English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth, French Ligue 1 club FC Lorient, and A-League side Auckland, alongside other sporting entities.

“We are excited to announce a strategic partnership and investment in Hibernian FC today,” Bill Foley said. “We look forward to partnering with the Gordon Family and other shareholders to accelerate the success of Hibernian FC and BKFC.

“We believe this partnership, with our commitment to invest in player development and infrastructure, can help BKFC and Hibernian FC reach new levels of success and help Scottish football continue to grow.”

Bydand Sports LLC – owned by the Gordon Family – remains as the Club’s majority shareholder and will keep full technical control over the running of Hibernian FC.

On BKFC’s share acquisition, the Gordon Family commented: “We are delighted that the partnership with Bill (Foley) and Black Knight Football Club has been ratified; a partnership that’ll greatly benefit the long-term future of Hibernian FC.

“We share the same values and ambitions as BKFC, and it was always part of Ron’s vision, and long-term plan, to bring in a minority partner. As a family, we have an unwavering commitment towards Hibernian FC and to building a winning, successful club.”

Hibernian FC Chief Executive Ben Kensell added: “This deal is ground-breaking in Scottish football and game-changing for Hibernian Football Club, so I’m really pleased it was ratified this evening.

“The Gordon Family and I spent months in dialogue with Bill and Black Knight Football Club to ensure they were the right partners for this fantastic club, and during that time we quickly realised we were totally aligned with our ambitions for Hibernian FC. I’d also like to thank the Scottish FA for their openness, transparency, and support in getting this deal agreed.

“This is a really exciting time for everyone involved with Hibernian FC. The future looks very bright and fans should be excited.”

I don't have twitter but searched and saw there were some good questions posed. is anyone able to copy and paste the questions / answers here? would appreciate it!
Difficult to do this, as he posted a series of single tweets. If it had been a single tweet with each following post as a reply it could more easily be done. Not a criticism of @longbangers in any way, he did an amazing job of reporting proceedings.

There's a section of the evening set aside for football related questions, so IMO completely appropriate.

Aye, but I wouldn't have put that up on my list of football related questions.

    An interesting night thus far.

Turnover up, expected to be approx £15M but could rise higher. Ticketing and football turnover down slightly largely attibuted to poorer on field performance. Big investment in playing staff, women's team, other infrastructure and so on.

Big plans for the Famous Five. Clubstorw and ticket office upgrades, committed to a 'community hub'. Further hospitality upgrades planned.

No external debt exxept an interest free loan to the govt. Will allow investment on the park and contribute to an increased budget.

Black Knight will allow us to share expertise and thus grow the on and off field stuff. They will have two directors at Hibs with no affiliation to another club. Hibs remain independent. We sign who we want, play who we want and sell to who we want.

Aim is to be sustainable at a higher level. Future investment will be capital calls, possibly donations. Not loans.

A home for the women's team at an 'altenrayive venue'.

Foley is a football man who just loves the process and believes in the multi club structure.

A myriad of other questions about a range of issues, largely well received and answered.

Resolutions all passed. Malcolm McPherson very happy and pays tribute to the Gordons.

Sure someone can be more comprehensive but that's a snapshot of some of what was discussed.

I think the speed with which the club statement was posted shows that. Mind you they could have had a couple of different statements ready just in case....

Considering all they needed was Leslie Robb I believe to vote with them there was next to no chance it was failing today. Robb would have been sounded out months ago on his thoughts before it even got close to going to the AGM.

ah ok, hadn't appreciated that. there was one question about what the club should do about the sectarianism etc that would be good to know Bens response to...
