It would be good if this thread could be used to focus on the outcome of the AGM tonight rather than having to read the initials HSL anymore than I already have.
Correct.those bothered about which way HSL vote should’ve joined it themselves & spoke their mind at they’re agm

Interesting to note future investment would be in the form of capital calls and not loans. Kensell was asked if that would be open to existing shareholders and seemed a bit evasive. He was pushed and said pre emption would apply but there could be a vote at the AGM to disapply and that would require 75% approval from shareholders.

Given Foley and the Gordons will after tonight own more than 75% of the club between them I think you can read between the lines and say the days of your ordinary fan being able to buy shares are gone for the foreseeable.

What is a capital call? If it’s not a loan, is it the same as a donation?

I suppose the question from me would be what difference it would make to Bydand or BKFG if they disapplied the pre-emption rights in the future. Shareholders could only buy according to their current percentage holding, so percentages wouldn’t change with new rights issues. Given that BKFG are only allowed up to 30%, then any future share issues would need to involve Bydand buying more to prevent that happening. So if HSL wanted to get involved then all that would do would give the club more money and not affect their shareholding percentage.

Good question. People seem more interested in pies and ripping into the Hibernian supporters group than caring about it though.

A capital call is a request made by a company or investment fund to its investors for additional capital. This typically occurs when the company or fund needs additional funds to meet its operational or investment obligations. Investors who have committed capital to the company or fund are required to contribute their allocated portion of the requested capital within a specified timeframe, as outlined in the investment agreement. Capital calls are common in private equity, venture capital, real estate, and other investment funds where capital may be needed periodically to fund new investments or meet ongoing operational expenses.

Seem a very complicated way to raise funds through investments. Will not pretend to know the ins and outs of it.

Seemed to be going well - good flow and pace. Then they opened up to football questions and now nothing seems to be worth updating us on.
