Perhaps a rocking chair on the veranda with a bottle of beer. As seen in films .

    Decent analogy.

What about Jeggo and De Bruyne? Who’s the better midfielder?
    Vela. 😁

Jeggo just isn’t very good. This young lad is a different level.
This in a nutshell 👍 really nice lad JJ but not a good footballer and certainly not at this level. Didn’t offer anything meaningful to a bland midfield. Now we have really good options and technically much better players and decision makers in there. More energy and more creativity too. I’d add JDH in the same mould as JJ too. Too safe a footballer, injuries aside, offers very little dynamism or creative spark. Once injury free I’d be encouraging him to find a new club if he can. Levitt has all the potential but needs consistency added to his game and he needs to be much more concentrated in his passing and decision making.

Wonderful player - get a contract extension sorted pronto.
I think he's great as well but let's hold off n a new contract for a wee bit yet - remember the JDH error 😉

Could be wrong but it's an initial 18 months with an option of a further year right? Might be worth revisiting at the end of the season.

Some strange takes on Amos. I thought it took him 5 minutes or so but he was generally very good when he came on.

It’s a 2 and a half year deal with the option of a further year

    Snap

Missed both the Inverness and Aberdeen due to being tired from 6 shifts in a row on nights so yesterday was the first real chance of seeing him.

Brings a lot of energy to the middle of the park and looks decent on the ball, let's others players do what they're best at also.

He was, thought he was very tidy. The good thing is he's getting more and more game time. A good pre-season and we will see the best from him

Absolutely, Amos and Moriah-Welsh will be the engine room for Hibs next season...

Suppose it's a squad game, both will be in and about midfield places, Amos once up to speed maybe will be ahead of Moriah Welsh...who knows what will happen over the summer transfer window

Didn't he sign an 18 month contract with us in January?

What I like about M-W is his appetite for the game. McGinn was the last player we had that looked like he loved all aspects of the game. I suspect his biggest fan is Joe Newell. He hasn't half taken the workload off him. Also, M-W seems to be able to take the ball in any situation and he's comfortable. Terrific acquisition, well done the recruitment team.

Exactly this - not only has he energy but anticipation which means he thrives on ball winning. Jeggo ran about like a clueless chicken and more often than not his lack of awareness led to a booking or giving up set pieces in dangerous areas. I’m genuinely baffled that folk saw Jeggo as a good addition - I honestly thought he was an awful footballer, technically and generally. Ball retention, tackling, passing - all simply awful for me.

He did. Slow steps with him however thought he looked decent when came in against Dundee a decent turn of pace when broke away near the end just over hit the pass to Tavare.

Lovely seeing stupid arguments from the same suspects over absolutely nothing on here as per usual, this place can grind you down reading it at times.

My take on MW is he's a very good player with a good engine, if he develops like we hope, he'll be away by the end of next year.

So far M-W has been a big plus for Monty.

From what I could see of him before joining Hibs, there wasn't too much to be excited about.

Monty spoke up about his work rate and tenacity saying that's what the side has been missing. I was worried that this meant he had a really low bar as a footballer, similar to JJ.

It's been a great surprise then to see that M-W can play a bit but the praise to Monty as well because he was bang on that we needed that energy in the team to bring some spark and urgency.

Newell and Vente cover every blade of grass but M-W does it like the the Tasmanian Devil and it makes a big difference.

    Hope he keeps it up.

I know what you mean by the place can grind you down at times as I to find that myself abit when reading a lot of negativity as well . As one of the posters your referring to I apologise mate 👍.

As for Moriah-Welsh I agree we have a very good player with a good engine , type of player we been needing for awhile now . Hopefully we get can get him on a longer contract though.

Moriah-Welsh v Baningime could be where it's won & lost in midfield. By all accounts the latter is having a great return to their side.

Can see them targeting Myziane early. Who’s the current Jambo hatchet man?

Our other signing feels the same way about ‘Chairman’ Mao,lida. He will take us on a Long March to the Scottish cup.
