I don't think he's been messed around, it was more necessity. Going back to Airdrie is ideal for him. He's played at SPL standard now and knows where he needs to be performance-wise. He'll have a good career, either with us or elsewhere I suspect.

I understand that as his parent club Hibs needs come first. But I'm not sure his short spell back here will have done much for his confidence.

Well, probably not, he was given an opportunity and was found to be wanting/ not ready. He will be under no illusions about the standard he needs to reach if he wants to play top flight football.

Well, probably not, he was given an opportunity and was found to be wanting/ not ready. He will be under no illusions about the standard he needs to reach if he wants to play top flight football.

Perhaps it will help spur him on, although I think it’s probably more an ability issues rather than a confidence one.

Time will tell if he's good enough or not but I think fans are generally very quick to judge based on two or three or at best a handful of games. Too early to say he doesn't have the ability when he has done very well as a young player at just one division below.
