There’s absolutely nothing about Hibs at the moment that makes you think they’re a credible football club with a strategy that places any sort of emphasis on the success of the first team. It’s disjointed and so many decisions make no sense.

That’s the sort of situation that lends itself to conspiracy theories - and I think there’s an awful lot of merit in the suggestion that we’re a tin pot moneyball outfit who exist as a vehicle for players to pass through, for reasons other than it being of benefit to Hibs or their first team.

I’d not write the laddie off based on one game. He could well be a good player.

Difficult to evaluate his performance/role in how inept our record has been over last 3 management teams but his record as caretaker boss is reasonable. However, as a ex defender and as integral part of the coaching team it is fair to question the value of his contributions, like any other paid employee. I hope he’s there on merit and not some attempt by the board to appease fans during the managerial merry go round. The success of this club should always trump one man’s contribution, irrespective of how valuable that contribution was in the past. Is this now 4 coaching teams he’s been involved with? One thing they all have in common is the fragility of our defence/cross balls/goals lost at back posts etc. ‘If’ part of his mandate is working on helping us become more solid at the back then it’s clearer not working.

I got shot down the other day in here for being worried about signing soo many loans and young CB on loan.

Our January window just leaves us in a bigger mess come the summer with having to sign about 6-9 players
