Resident in Oz and a close Mariners observer, I admit to a feeling of surprise when Sunderland made a move for Triantis last season. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Mostly because it was his ‘break out’ season….his first full season where he was a regular in the A League after having been on the fringes of the first team squads of Sydney and Western Sydney Wanderers.
A bit of a ‘bolter’ as he might be described over here….someone who has quickly shot to prominence….
He played in a few defensive roles in the Mariners championship winning team, but there were certainly others I would have mentioned as possibilities for Hibs before him.
That should in no way be taken as a criticism of Nectar, obviously, Monty and the Sunderland scouts know more than me…and I look forward to seeing where Monty slots him into the Hibs team.
He’s definitely got ability, just needs the experience imho

Is it just me that thinks it sounds like a flesh eating disease??
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Just shows no one has a clue how good he is, Transfermarket has him at £300k and FM has him at £7m, possibly the Sunderland guy boosting him up a tad too much.

That might have been one of the worst debuts I can remember. He looked absolutely rotten.
For a guy that's 6'3 he couldn't even handle the physical aspects of the game.

Not his fault we signed the kind of centre half we don't need.
Glad we never let Hanlon go because, unbelievably, that's yet another window we have come out of with him as our best centre half. I hope he can get fit and stay fit.

Another great advert for the standard of the Aussie league, who would have thought a player from a league where Cumdog is a star would turn out to be 💩.

I’d not write the laddie off based on one game. He could well be a good player.
If he’s playing though, it should be beside an experienced pro who can bring him on, not with another 20 year old laddie.

2 x 20yr old loans at centre half. Brian McDermott is failing in his core role.

Miles off the pace and if he couldn’t get a game for Sunderland he shouldn’t be playing for us.
Monty’s mate, nothing more, nothing less. Couldn’t pass wind the day.
