This may be well known to everyone but I only discovered this today, found it very interesting as I have strong ties to Dumfries - grandfather from there and my wife is too.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dumfries_Hibernians_F.C.
Obviously knew of Dundee United formerly being Dundee Hibs but never knew about this. Pity they never made it past 1901, maybe Dumfries wouldn’t be so full of Celtic fans if they were still around!

Probably shut down by the SFA because they were worried about Hibs trying to set up a multi-club pyramid.

Didn't Lugton find about 92 different clubs Hibs had a part in forming or directly setting up?

Still, since you can't think of any more the years of research by Alan Lugton must be wrong.

As a regular visitor to Galway I’ve never been able to fully embrace the local football team Galway United for the simple reason that they play in maroon shirts and white shorts. Been a few times and actually quite enjoy it when they lose.
A few weeks back over there during the Christmas break I overheard my sister in law talking about a trip into town and parking at “The Hibs Club” which prompted a a rude interruption of her chat with an enquiry about this said Hibs Club.
Turns out there is a team called Galway Hibernians so will obviously now be adopting them as the team of choice. They play in black and white rather than green, but at least it’s not maroon.

Didn't Oor Wullie and Fat Bob try to get into a local match where - according to the sign on the wall - one team were Hillside Hibs?
