Apart from the window business and the cringey webcams of the pitch, the rooms look pretty nice from the artists impression.

Have you seen the artists impression of their main stand.

An email to alert potential patrons to the “limited availability” of rooms in the hotel at a time of year when Edinburgh hotel rooms are as scarce as hens teeth.

Then back out as late as you can as long as it’s free cancellation

Is there one about the limited availability of viewing opportunities/windows?

Rhyming couplets. I think their advertising guys must be from the 1950s.

Don't know if it helps, but we used to have an African grey parrot called McGonnagall.

Wonderful speaker, could well have had a career in marketing window free hotel rooms to a grateful public.

It must be like the dirtiest Blackpool guesthouse in there: the rooms stink and the bedsheets have stains on them that make you run out into the corridor screaming. The en-suite has a toilet like the one in Trainspotting. They tell tourists that’s the authentic Edinburgh look for the cludgie. It will be on the next series of Hotel Inspector, whereby she will tell Budge it needs bulldozing.

Given they’ve only got a couple of broom cupboards and a converted office with an inflatable lilo, surely they’re always in a state of limited availability?

£710 for a room from the 9th -11th February. However,

Free cancellation before 18:00 on 9 February 2024

Would be a crying shame if someone were to book said room and their plans change at the last minute...

Opening weekend and not even sold out. Sold out for 1st night on Saturday but still a room available on Sunday. Doesn't bode well. Thought they'd do well to start with due to novelty factor but not so sure now.

To be fair they look half decent in the picture, but my Mrs and I are staying in Queen st on Saturday night and it’s £100 for a whole apartment.

2 min walk to George street etc.

No one wants to stay in Gorgie. You might get some people staying but no one will be paying over £90 except jambos

That room looks, if you'll excuse the pun, tiny. If I'm going budget it's Premier Inn every time, clean, modern and spacious. But the full joy of that weird windowless hotel is that we will all be able to see the price and availability of rooms, so they'll have to invent a new way of lying to pretend it's been the biggliest, most successful hotel in Edinburgh, and possibly the world.

JA will book rooms every week at £1000 per night to ensure it makes a profit

They’ve taken £350,000 advanced bookings - still unfinished and workmen having to stay over on site to ensure their soft launch this month👍 to cover the ‘no windows’ they’ve installed television screens that can ‘convey’ outside to create a feeling of space 😂

    2000 gullible jambos at £175 a piece.

£100 in advanced bookings from everyone else

Correct but you'd have still thought their 7,000 waiting listers would be clamouring to get in.

Hm, you may be onto something. Is this just a cunning ploy so JA can funnel more cash into the club? Absolutely nothing would surprise me with that club and I'm already swithering about posting this as if someone Jambo reads it they may just steal my idea and run with it.

I was involved with large, multiple occupancy, new build properties with an old job. The real fun starts when everyone turns their showers on in the morning, and all the push fittings that weren't pushed properly go pop! That's always lots of fun! Here's hoping.

They hadn’t even got that far when I inspected it two weeks ago 👍 they’re only opening half of it initially 👍 typical Hearts - half arsed effort and looks garbage inside regardless 👍makes the Britannia look high end 👍

I look forward to the Trip Advisor reviews. Punters aren't shy about voicing their opinions. Also, given modern insulation requirements for new builds etc, what happens in these windowless rooms when we hit one of our increasing heatwaves? I hope they have good aircon or those rooms will be uninhabitable. And that's before we get to the issue of how you air out a windowless room when one or two punters have been farting and breathing out alcohol all night and you have a two hour turnaround.

So much to look forward to as it all unfolds.
