I was asking questions about Tirana on the thread started by andyf5 and thought that it might be a good idea for a travel thread. I did do a thread search in case there was one already but I never saw anything (might have missed it).
So Tirana, best to take Euros or Leks or mixture?

Sorry can’t say for sure. I would take a mixture and maybe even a few US Dollars.
I was in Egypt recently and nobody took Egyptian Pounds. Only US Dollars, Euro or Sterling.
Oddly the ATM only dispense Egyptian pounds!!

Get yourself the right card, pre-loaded, debit etc. Look up Martin Lewis for the cards that would best suit your needs.
I have a Revolut card that I use for virtually all spending abroad and I use it here as my pub card 😀Space to let

A friend gave me great advice years ago before I went travelling in India, "When you arrive, eat some yoghurt, get some local bacteria inside you".
I still do it now, every time I go anywhere.
