This is probably the biggest issue I have with the modern game, at all levels tbh. The complete lack of honesty in these so called professionals is disgusting. Blatant diving should be an immediate red card and with VAR we can and should be able to do this during a game and not just retrospectively. It won’t happen though as it’s become accepted as “just part of the game”.

If it was an obvious dive with no contact then I would have no issue with that. Boyle doesn't dive that often. He does go down when touched and that is slightly different imo
Not the way referees and bbc pundits see it though.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

This is just as bad. Fans of these teams have a cheek to moan about Boyle.

Wee smirk on his face as he ran away...disgusting.

In some ways the refs have caused the issue. They are soft on the cheats but also don't give penalties unless players actually hit the deck.imagine Goldson had kept running and narrowly missed the header. I would say that a ref could use advantage and go back and award a pen if he thought it was one for the pull. Players shouldn't need to fall to the ground for a foul to be given

Goldson dives to ensure theres a review so he gets the shirt pull

Jesus that's maybe even worse. As bad as dive as you'll ever see. Agree with others that a yellow is nowhere near enough. 2 game ban when it's something as blatant as that.
Saw Alley McCoist do worse to get a pen at ER. Easily a yard of free space between him and Jim Leighton. Can't remember who the ref was but he couldn’t wait to point to the spot. Laudrup was worse still. Out and out cheats.

    i

At a previous corner from the otherside lammers did the same, fell and sat with arms outstretched looking around…clever tactic when their set pieces are clearly being scrutinised closely

He does but players pretty much have to do that as refs don't seem to give fouls unless the fouled player hits the turf.
