    Doesn't really even align with the worst period of weather we get - but more importantly as you say, the fixture congestion on either side of the break defeats the purpose totally

    The fixtures over the festive period are a total joke as well IMO
    It's to give the players time off, but agree the congestion either side is a bit mad.

    Aye that’s highly unusual to get all 4 at home first. Probably doing that so it benefits rangers after the split as they won’t be able to play all 4 away from home for a 2nd time at that point if we all get there

    Probably because that’s when Sky wanted it. By the looks of it they’ve handpicked the dates for our derby and the old firm at Christmas time. Can’t remember them ever releasing tv picks for then this early.
