    Queens Park new stand

40 odd seats - probably just as well they failed to get promoted.

They rented back Hampden in anticipation of a return to the big time but decided to go ahead with it in any case for next season

Their fans are rightly pissed off, the board have essentially built themselves a big fancy directors box instead of the main stand which was originally planned.

Seems to have been a complete shambles of a job.

The wonderful Leanne doing another sterling job. They've pissed away all of the money they received as well. That lassie is a slaver and I'm glad she's no longer at Easter Road.

Can’t say anything negative about Dempster, someone will be along to reply to you with a 10,000 word essay on why she’s gods gift to Scottish football.

You’re right, of course. But that doesn’t matter.

The Blessed Leanne. I've got another 2,000 words to go & then I'll post the essay here.

Done well to bash out 8000 words in 15 minutes but I eagerly await it

To be fair, they have built a standing section for their Ultra, at the left

Some of them would probably be empty

That is really crap and the stand on the other side isn't much better.

I know they don't need a huge ground but surely the opportunity was there to build a proper wee old school ground with some safe standing.

That's a shocker. Did they get the HMFC design team on the job?

Think in the main she did an excellent job for Hibs certainly in relation to the football side.

Yep, took over a club that had just been relegated and was the CEO when we won the Scottish Cup after 114 years.

Not every decision she made was the right one, as I’m sure she would admit, but the vast majority of the time she got things right.

But just like footballers, I guess it’s a matter of opinion.

Think it’s the off field stuff. On field she appointed folk that were good and won the cup.

Off it we had advertising boards unpaid for, rubbish corporate, a stand that was a write off and couldn’t even be given away to the NHS. Plus when we won the cup we were woefully under prepared with merchandise.

Fair points. I think it's somewhat important to remember that she probably had to prioritise at first, to rebuild the team. She inherited a real sorry mess.

Personally I much preferred supporting Hibs under her than our current lot.

Looks like the on field stuff for QP has been good too. She’s maybe good at appointing the right “football people” and letting them get on with it. A CEOs role is more than that though, although if good on field then the off field is overlooked - it’s when you don’t win/get promoted it comes into view.

Is it not just a big telly they've installed?

Glad we had already built our east stand before she came phew.

500 at their "test event" yesterday 🤣
What need is there for a Test Event when building something like this?

They could have just stuck at 75 inch telly in its place and put a crowd picture on it.
I’m sure they could have put the actual 20 people the stand holds somewhere else in the ground

We also had turnstiles that didn't work, you couldn't buy tickets on line and there was no first team strip sponsor on the front of the jerseys as she had disgracefully appointed her "good friend" as head of the commercial department but who instead worked on behalf of Glasgow City as she prepared her escape route.

Dempster was slowly found out over time and was found wanting with every passing year though it has to be ackknowledeged her excellent starting achievements in the first couple of years rebuilding after relegation.

Nobody is going to get everything right all of the time. You only have to look at the criticism of the current powers at be on here for things being better off the pitch than on.

It's fair to criticise LD on some things during her tenure but ultimately we'll look back on the Scottish Cup win and a cracking season under Lennon in the Prem with a great team. Moaning about naff hospitality and other nitpicks will just look daft.

That stand is bloody ridiculous though.

It’s not daft when it was her job. The in field stuff was/is for others to do.
