    McGennis

Shame about the injuries. Looked a decent player. Wish him the best for the future, whatever/wherever it is.

Oh and out respect it might be an idea to take down the ‘who pays for surgery’ thread. Pretty classless comment on it.

    He's already signed for Kilmarnock.

Hope it works out well for Kyle Magennis
Sad he had so much injury issues whilst with Hibs.
A fully fit Kyle may have resulted in a higher league position this season past
As with our ther injured players. But Kyle would have made a terrific difference .

Leaves with best wishes for the future. Although this lad has not had his troubles to seek , and perhaps a fresh start is in his best interests, it looks like we did the best by him in terms or treatment and recuperation. This boy's talent was never in doubt.

Strange that he’s signed for Killie and their plastic pitch. Hope it works out for him, just not when he’s playing against us!

Hope the Killie fans get Magennis' name right, unlike some on here.
Sorry things didn't work out for him at ER.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it was his only option. If not then it seems a bizarre choice.

I'm gutted at this, if he can overcome his injury woes he'll be a great player. I'd like to have seen him stay.

It's a shame. He's a good player but I understand why the club have made this decision. Aside from it freeing up a wage, I'm sure LJ wants a bit of consistency in the midfield. Hopefully Kyle can overcome his injury woes in the future.

I reckon if it had just been Kyle then we may have persevered with him and hoped his woes were behind him.

Because it was a largely frustrating season, with injuries to Boyle and McGeady also, you can understand why we've called time on it.

He can be a good player so I hope the move works out for him.

Shame it didn't work out for him at Hibs and I hope he can get fit but I'll personally be gutted if he plays 30+ games for Killie this season and is on fire.

Seems odd that we paid him off did he's now fit enough to sign for them. Sure it freed up some budget but I'd rather have kept him for his last year as a final chance.

Did he not have 2 years left on his contract?

The whole thing about plastic pitches causing more injuries than grass is likely a myth. A recent scientific review in The Lancet of 1447 studies and 67 reports on pitch types and injury incidence concluded that there was no evidence that plastic pitches increased the risk of injury for football players.

Well done hibs, the correct decision for the club first and foremost.

Careful. No room for reasoned, scientific evidence on this site. Yellow card.

Depends on the injury. I was told not to train on astro what so ever or any plastic pitch by doctors and multiple physios when I done my knee, think certain injuries it aggravates and some it doesn't make a difference.
