Is it standing on the track behind the goal Kieran as its ridiculous what the council have done to that place so far as watching football is concerned. I’ve no idea if they’re planning to do anything with the old uncovered areas that survived the rebuild but those are all covered in weeds now.

Hopefully visiting support provision has improved a bit from this debacle.

Should be getting paid a tenner to stand there rather than handing one over.

    That is horrific.
What's wrong with the farside other than a few weeds?

As far as I know, there was a massive f*** up and they found out too late that someone else owned that stretch of land.

Plus they are really anal about folk standing on the track. Wouldn't be so bad if they let you stand pitch side

A lot of these big trees were also cut down a few months back so you get a better view of the pitch from the road now than you do inside the place itself.

Good question, it is standing off the track behind the barrier for the East, North and West Standing.

Marionville Road is the best view in the house now 😀

    Aye, spectator facilities are basic.

Edinburgh are currently planning to put in standing spectator areas behind each goal inside the D between the pitch and running track.

On the far side (opposite the stand) it will be behind the existing barrier which runs down the side of the track.

"Basic" is a very Christian interpretation 😄. They're a farce, the new Meadowbank is a classic ECC fudge job. A tenner is sort of robbery but just about ok, but for a proper game against Dunfermline they were charging double that I think and Dunfermline obviously brought a decent crowd. The photos I saw were absurd for professional football, the Dunfermline fans would have had to coordinate like a primary school photo "wee ones to the front" to have had any chance of a view

All of the standing was flat standing behind a barrier and some views were obscured by equipment storage locker. Dunfermline fans kicked up holy hell about it last season. The ground itself is an absolute disgrace, I think FC Edinburgh planned to build a terrace on the North side (railway side) but it didn't happen for some reason. The ground is not fit to be used for League matches.

I was shocked into how bad it actually was when the boards came down and you could see right in as we walked up to Easter Road late season.
Had seen the pictures on Twitter from disgruntled visiting fans but it looked even worse in the flesh.

To make Meadowbank Stadium even worse than it was originally is quite an achievement.

I know there is an obvious cost but even if they got one stand like Edinburgh rugby would make a difference

Make the most of the view There is currently a planning application for flats all along Marionville road where the trees have been cut down and also down wishaw terr as well as the car park and old velodrome so don't think things will improve much for visiting fans in the future, and will almost certainty be approved, thats the council for you

Tickets still available for this game on Saturday. c850 tickets have been sold so far, the vast majority to Hibs supporters.

Digital ticket sales only and no match day walk ups. Ticket sales will stop on Friday this week, before the match on Saturday.

Tickets can be purchased here https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Account/...xtureId%3D2899

Access will be 2 turnstiles and a gate, open an hour before kick off. Strong recommendation is to turn up early to avoid disappointment with standard queues likely, shortly before kick off.

Surely we should have asked them to move this match to a bigger stadium?

All standing left, where is best to buy a ticket? Can you walk right round and basically stand anywhere? And is it even worth buying a ticket will I actually see anything?

That would have been disrespectful though.

If you mean a gate. It’s all via London road (at least it was during the womens season) you may be better just watching from the road tbh. Better view that behind the goals.

Digital tickets only, would that mean an e-ticket sent by email that could be printed out and produced at the turnstyle? I don't use a smart phone.

All sales are being completed through the fanbase link, no physical tickets but you can print the email receipt version out that has the QR code on it ✅
