I hope he’s okay and it’s not too serious… but at the same time, that more than suits us if he’s out for a while. Who’s their other “other goalie”?

On the basis that a broken clock is right twice a day the one thing the Yams got right was signing Clark as back up to spotty, he's decent. It would be terrible if they had to start the season with their 3rd choice keeper

Indeed, but also made a few decent saves to keep the score 1 - 1 I believe. He's not in Gordon's class, but they guy aint bad and if it is a semi serious injury Hearts will have a job getting somebody as good without laying out a few bob IMO.

In case anybody is keeping tabs, McAvoy was the post match manager today.

My jambo mates tell me that the pre-game manager was Naismith though.

And to complete the set, the half time team talk was delivered by the third Stooge.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

I could quite possibly be proved wrong but so far hearts are not worrying me at all for the coming season. Their management team are poor and the playing squad fished last season on a downwards slope and they are yet to do anything to improve that team.

Meanwhile we have strengthened well and early.

Aberdeen are the competition for 3rd imo.

I think it’s too early to make a proper judgment.

We have lost Nisbet and haven’t yet replaced Fish or got him
Back in. I am pleased we have stenghternin goalkeeping and left back and we look like we have recruited well. But we are 4-5 players short with at least two absolutely crucial. We have Boyle back as well.

Hearts have lost ginnelly (2nd best player) and have lost all remaining pace. But they have Beni (so) and Boyce back and should have the financial power to recruit well. Agree Naismith is a week link and it will end in tears. However they could buy some decent quality hence I think it’s too early judge IMHO.

Totally agree. They are embarrassing themselves big time. A complete shambles. With our new policy of smarter signings, I'm fairly certain, that we will finish above, the confusion, and , melee, that has developed down gorgie way. The Gordons deserve our gratitude, for the way we are conducting business, in a dignified, and honorable fashion.

Maybe they’re onto something here and the rest are of us have been doing it all wrong for years.
Football may well end up indebted to them for radically tearing up the rulebook and changing how we approach management forever.
