Got their debut and Strength In Numbers albums. They just about straddle the indie side of dance for me but not a particularly big fan. Remember talking to a friend about them and I was talking about the bald singer and he the long haired singer. We were both correct, quite the extreme haircuts he has had.

They kept playing Breakin' by The Music at HT at ER towards the end of last season. Can't say I liked them much but I recognised it from an indie compilation.

Resort Island by Isolee is a gorgeous peice of summery electronica , class all the way through https://resortisland.bandcamp.com/album/resort-island

If you like the dooney folk of Lankum then Carry Them With Us by Brighde Chambeul from Skye is well worth checking out. Enchanting small pipes with a bit of saxophone https://brighdechaimbeul.bandcamp.co...y-them-with-us

    Lack of Afro.

The guy is seeping into my consciousness everywhere just now, partly through Giles Peterson and others on 6 Music.

Got him on Spotify just now, and can't believe he has passed me by for so long.

Maybe I’ve been asleep under a rock, but this morning I heard a song called ‘Let The Light Shine Over You’. Turns out it’s from an album, called Far From Saints by a group by the same name. I discovered it was none other than Kelly Jones with a duo, Patty Lynn and Dwight Baker of the American band The Wind and The Wave. The songs are terrific and the vocal harmonies of Jones and Lynn are awesome in my opinion. If this is old hat, fine, but if you enjoy Country, Folk, Rock I think you’ll love it.

Bumped this up as I found out the venue has been changed to the Usher Hall, ‘Due to phenomenal demand’. Just bought a couple of tickets but apparently they’re going like hot cakes.

I made the classic error of killing time on Saturday by "browsing" in a record shop – Washing Machine by Sonic Youth is playing just now.

Memories....used to have a few of their singles when I was about 8 or 9. Don't think I had that one, definitely had Zabadak and The Legend Of Xanadu with Dave Dee cracking a whip!

Think I chucked them in the bin when I got into Bowie and T Rex....

I'm on a Dillinger Four trip just now. Between '98 and 2008 they released 4 brilliant albums, along with a comp of their earlier singles. Midwestern songs of the Americas probably the pick of the bunch, pretty much perfect 90s punk rock album.

I managed to pick up a second hand vinyl copy a month back and have been playing it virtually every day since. A contender for any top ten list of great Scottish albums, it still sounds fresh.
    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
    He'll die before he's sold.

Paul and John went to my school. Great lads. Used to hang about The Other Record Shop with them on Saturday afternoons when Hibs were playing away.
