Played down verging on defending the evil genocide committed by Milosevic and Assad. Admired him but he was so clouded and went off the rails. In a horseshoe his theories on Putin and the war were similar to Tucker Carlsons

Remind me not to ask you to write my obituary. You're pretty harsh.

Horseshoe theory, some in the far left and right have had similar opinions on Ukraine. George Monbiot has talked about pulling up Russian propaganda when it comes from those we respect

    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/mar/02/russian-propaganda-anti-imperialist-left-vladimir-putin

I respect lots what Pilger did like his work on the first Australians, Iraq and Cambodia for example. Genocide denials need mentioned though. That wouldn't be on your obituary so it would be ok.

Derek Draper (Kate Garraway's husband), not a celeb per se but, what a nightmare the guy has had since catching COVID (and had to live with it under the eyes of the media), probably a relief for everyone concerned.

Absolutely, it just shows how devastating covid was and how people were affected differently, he battled and fought as much as he could, such a shame

I met him once when he was sat next to us at a restaurant in Italy. He was a very pleasant bloke.

Didn’t get to see either play live, but both of these make me feel quite sad, 2 men who profoundly affected their sports in their own ways

With his socks down at his ankles he sort of transcended rugby and football. On the run he could swerve like George Best.

    Sore one.

I'm old enough to remember before she was "Annie". Plain "Anne" doing her Sunday afternoon show in the 70's on Radio 1, when female DJ's were a curiosity.

Her voice touched my heart and lifted me up, way back then. Lay Down, the definitive version of Ruby Tuesday, the simplicity of Peace will come, all classics for those of us lucky enough to live through the music of that time.
