I`ve been here already but have absolutely no doubt that`s Alex Cropley........doesn`t mean I`m right, but I still can`t believe there`s any doubt about it .

John Blackley for me. Quite apart from looking like Blackley, he’s way too sturdy for Crops. Number o. The backs are wrong too for it to be Cropley. In those days Blackley regularly wore the number 4 and Pat Stanton the number six. There is just the hint of the number four on the shirt of the player we’re debating. 10 and 11 are accounted for. I cannot ever remember Alex Cropley wearing a lower number. It could be the tail end of a 12 but for me it’s too high on the shirt. Definitely John Blackley for me.

Crops replaced Johnny Graham if it is the game I am thinking about so he would be #12

I just don’t know ?- that is why I put it out there as I thought it was an interesting image a blast from the past and would make for a good discussion for us old foggies

Early Crops was very slight mair fat on a butchers pencil

If you look closely on the blown up version there is a slight impression of teenage acne or it could just be a mark on the image

    Clutching at straws I know

Looking at other images of Crops he always wore Puma’s it looks like Adidas in the image

Seem to recollect that we played them twice at Easter Road that year I am sure we beat them.
If it's the game from September 19th 1970 then Hibs won 2 0, sure Joe Mcbride snr. Scored both.

I'm pretty fond of this one because of the view of the old East.

Here's a better one of the middle aged East's older brother
You get an idea of the sheer size it was.

Anybody identify the Hibs players in the picture?
Think the middle one is Chris Shevlane

    Lewis Stevenson?
