Somehow you just know that if either Nouble or the Ayr guy went to Hearts they’d do well but if they came to us they’d just look ordinary. Sad but probably true.

Said so on another thread but I really do hope that's the case. Really want him to do well for us and think he has the ability, just hope his body can back up that ability.

Can't be relied upon with his fitness issues.

He would be a good replacement, but someone we have had so little game time from can’t really be classed as the solution. We still need to replace McGinn and anything we get from Magennis is a bonus IMO.

No, but he was supposed to be SJMs replacement.

I get all that but he was signed whilst still recovering from a cruciate injury ffs, we had zero knowledge if he was ever going to recapture his St Mirren form, turns out these injuries are known to have knock on effects when the player returns and as we've seen, lots on niggly injuries like, groin strain and hamstring problems.

The Ayr guy, Akenyemi is only 25, but he’s onto his 14th club already
Ayr United is the highest level he’s played at

Upward trajectory though, which shouldn't always be sniffed at.

If they keep on doing the business and improving the higher they go, they may well prove to be worth a punt higher still.

"Players doing well in the Championship" has probably been a more fertile hunting ground for us than the "unknown foreign promising youngster that bigger clubs are allowing to leave at an important age" one.

Looks a cracking player, a clear upgrade on at least a few of our attacking options

Sure I’d read that he had a decent goal return in the conference last year - but we opt to go scouting in The Gambia etc haha

Nouble another that would improve us imo
We opt to go scouting in the Gambia etc but you think a 25 year old who played for Potters bar, St Neots, Dulwich Hamlet, Braintree, Cheshunt and many more is a clear upgrade on a few of our attacking options 🤣

I dont doubt he is finding a rich vein of form but lets not kid ourselves playing for Ayr is any better than the level he previously played at. Im all for uncovering a gem but if thats the level of our expectations then we might as well give up as all those players we “scouted” far & wide have been routinely slated on here as have those who scouted them 👍

Exactly, we aren't playing well but some of the suggestions on here are nuts at times

Dylan Bykey has scored 7 for Stirling Albion, we offered him a deal a few seasons ago but he opted for hearts so played at a good level, only 27 too, could be worth a punt

    Since its silly season again

Dylan left the Beanos in January to go back to France as he was homesick.

Ah well, we can just ask our scouts to drop in on the way back from the Gambia, Im sure he would be tempted by a big wage 😑

We need to have a replacement for McGennis, not his fault, but his constant injuries mean we can’t rely on him. Don’t see him remaining at Hibs when his contract expires. An excellent player when fit, but doesn’t merit a contract based on the last 2 years

I think Cadden will be one that’s moved on

Leigh Griffiths. Free agent, in training so just needs a couple of games to be up to match fitness. Proven Prem goal scorer with a very good record. Set pieces are brilliant. Hibs fan.

That'll solve one problem at least.

Probably one of the very least likely. He's actually been fine this season too. We'd be worse off without him.

Leigh Griffiths. Can't get a club. Not done well in this league for years. Nowhere near fit enough. Texts 15 year olds for skuddies.

That adds to our problems. Certain for relegation if we sign that level of player.

I think he already knows this.

As much as I don’t want Griffiths I get what he means to a certain degree.

The other one is Cummings, most would say no however I’d bet that if he had played the same amount as all of our other forwards he’d be one of if not our top goalscorers.

    Boyle - 5 goals 1 assist
    Campbell - 4 goals
    Henderson - 4 goals 3 assists (mental)
    Doidge - 3 goals 1 assist
    Kuharevych- 3 goals 1 assist
    Newell - 3 goals 1 assist
    Porteous - 2 goals
    Youan - 1 goals 3 assists

When you consider that’s all competitions it’s pretty shocking.

    Compared to Aberdeen

    Miovski - 12 goals 1 assists
    Duk - 8 goals 2 assists
    Besujin - 7 goals 1 assist
    Clarkson - 4 goals 2 assists
    McCrorie - 4 goals 1 assist
Ramirez - 3 goals 2 assists (he’s hardly kicked a ball this season)

Plus another couple on one and two goals. Difference is massive
