    Newell

From the bbc highlights, it looks like Newell and a united player were having strong words at the end of the game.

Anyone know what that was about?

Behich was goading Hibs fans all night, pretty classless along with TWatt and I think Newell was having words about that, as was Cabraja.

Perhaps Newell could have showed a bit more fight during the game last night.
He was anonymous as he will be at Celtic Park.

Didn't think Newell was anonymous at all and your jumping to conclusions by saying he wil be anonymous at parkhead .strange thing to say unless you have a crystal ball that is?

Never been Newells biggest fan but the last 4 or 5 games I think he has been pretty good. He seems to be looking to play the ball forward at lot more now. I think Lee Johnsons style of play is suiting him.

Saw that unfold at end of game. Newell went to shake his hand and then crushed his grip at which point the wee prick squealed.
A mildly amusing end to a frustrating night.

I like Newell and it’s clear that he is benefitting from how LJ wants him to play. He’s the fittest he’s ever been and at his lowest body fat ever.

I don’t get why there is so much negativity around last night, it just didn’t go our way. When the forward players get a bit of confidence we will hand out a couple of doings.

Where have you been during our run of good results?

    Are your eyes painted on?

Newell was good last night and I’m not his biggest fan but let’s refrain from making things up.

Been waiting for our this run of wins to end so you could jump in to say that?

He's been one of the best central midfielders in the league this season

No crystal ball then ? Pity was hoping to get this week's lotto numbers from them.

I think having Kenneh in the midfield doing the dirty work has allowed Newell to be more forward thinking.

Deary me you actually think Newell was good last night?
I thought he contributed nothing positive and pick on him as he has more ability than most of our team.
    Opinions eh!

What makes you think he won’t contribute anything at Celtic park if he’s got more ability than most?

I don't need a crystal ball to tell you that Newell won't fancy it on Saturday.

You don't need a crystal ball, but I dare you to back up that statement with some facts?

Why did he get MOTM the last time he played the OF?

I don’t need a crystal ball to know that whenever we get beat loanheadhibby will re-appear, regardless of how well things have been going previously.

Why am I not surprised to see you talking utter rubbish about Newell as usual? He's been class this season, you're desperate for him to be average so you can get on here and slate him. Try being a Hibby for once and supporting our players, you never know, you might actually enjoy it.

He was a right wee clown that Aussie left back, got the impression Boyle was scared of him tbh, good on Newell, wish someone had smashed him in the 90 tbh.

So Joe Newell was anonymous against Utd and won't fancy it Saturday ? I'd like to take you back to 3/9/22 to the other Joe Newell thread started by. 'MWHIBBIES' .Page 9 post by 'CALLUM 62 ' It was a tweet he put from Hibernian football club that Joe Newell has been one of the Cinch Prems standout performers so far this season .
    Key passes leaderboard
    1. James tavenier
    2. Joe Newell.
    3. Martin Boyle.
    4. Jota.
    5. Matthew O'Reilly .

Joe Newell most counter presses . Most pressure .2nd for pressure regaining . 4th most tackles .

Now I can accept that you seen utd game different to everyone else just about but to say he's going to be anonymous and won't fancy a game that's coming up soon is really a load of nonsense to be honest you .

Newell showed plenty of fight and was far less anonymous than your eyesight.
