We haven’t scored in the first half of any of the league games so far which is a damming statistic.
If we could just get an early goal for a change that would help to lift the crowd out of this gloom.

What changes can be made for the team line up?

Are we relying on Darren McGregor to step in?

Did they not say Miller could play RCB if needed when he signed? I love Chris Cadden going forward but defence is not his thing and so far Johnson has gone with 4 at the back so he has not been a ke to play RWB.

3-5-2 Didn't work vs the Huns but would like to see this team.

    Marshall

    Miller
    McGregor
    Hanlon

    Cadden
    Cabraja

    Kenneh
    Tait
    JDH

    Doidge
    Boyle

Doidge is a better player for me when he has someone beside him or near him.

Unless anybody comes in that is 😉

Nae offence but that team looks dreadful, especially the defence. And JDH in midfield and Doidge up front

Can that defence be any worse than a duo of Porteous and Hanlon on previous form? I'm sure McClelland is out at the minute isn't he?

Someone from the midfield 3 has to play as we don't have Anyone else for someone else to replace one of them.

The defence is a big issue without doubt and I’m not actually sure who I would play there just now. I still think Porto would start for me.

Could potentially play a midfield of Kenneh, Tait and Henderson. Although the latter has been poor as well lately

I would be happy we that Midfield if it was named 2pm. It's something different.

Once Killie take the lead and we show no sign of being able to get back into the game I can see the booing hitting high levels.
And I think we know who is going to score for them don't we.

Sounds like you want that to happen. The support has been excellent this ason.

I’m still trying to work out why a buddies fan would be shouting that at LJ, the person sounded angry.
Saints do have a particular type of opinionated supporter.

I'll be there supporting the players. No abuse, no vitriol.

Many of the aren't good enough but it isn't through lack of effort. They are what we have and they are going to need our support this season. My anger is aimed elsewhere but airing that at a game is counter productive.
I think some could be accused of lack of effort on Saturday.

There is a lot of disappointment and negativity on this board at the moment. And on Facebook. And the Bounce.

But hardly any of the young boys and lassies who lead the singing and atmosphere at home and away, seem to post on here. This board appears to be mostly for older lads who if they go to games at all (some are definitely far flung) generally won’t be the ones standing and singing.

I agree that the support at the matches has been excellent this season. We will lose more games but the key indicator will be effort and fight. If the players show it, they will get our backing.

However, as our friend @Hibsbollah states in the OP, this will only apply if we are making an effort to drive the team forward and we don’t see the insipid, tippy tappy, standing off and a lack of tackling shown in some matches.

If there’s a lack of bottle shown, the supporters will feel let down again.

Our first half performances have been generally woeful.

We’ve been better after the break in almost all our games.

Johnson needs to figure out why we’ve been so lethargic and lost.

He made the early changes against Rangers but you could have made an argument for changes after 20 odd minutes in pretty much all our matches since the St Johnstone game.

The atmosphere will only be toxic if we aren't performing on the pitch.

Sorry but I can't agree with that.

Boyle didn't have a great game but his effort, and contribution, was night and day compared to that of Doidge.

I defend Doidge when he's contributed to a game but still gets stick, but I honestly can't think of one single moment in that game where he did anything useful.
That’s because he did nothing in the 89 mins he was on the park . We’re basically playing with 10 men when he’s on the pitch. It’s very worrying that LJ keeps picking him 🤷*♂️

I wish no ill will on Doidge, but he can’t be enjoying playing his football when hopelessly out of form and knowing the fans are frustrated watching him, and the team struggle.
