    Boyle and Marshall.

Honestly, on the football side of things, that’s it imo.

Commercially we are very efficient. That cannot be taken for granted. That side of the business headed up by Greg McEwan is a success.

The playing side in the other is a lot to be desired.

We ‘might” not see that same midfield combination again🤔

We’re gonna romp the 2028 top six finish campaign.

Josh Campbell. Things didn’t come off for him yesterday and he didn’t have the right players around him in midfield but yet again he tried to make things happen, chased down every lost cause, tried to get into the box and showed a great attitude. Wouldn’t have subbed him off (would have taken Newell off for Kenneh) but I think he’s come on tenfold under LJ.

We have a 3pm home kick off time next Saturday which means I can have a solid 2 hours plus of drinking pre game to help dull the inevitable pain.

We’ve got Boyle, we’ve got Marshall. Club did well there.
    Yoann looks promising, yesterday apart.
Some potential quality still to come back from injury.
We should still have cash at bank to buy more.

Has come on tenfold? Didn’t he do all those things under previous managers as well🤔 Chasing down, right attitude etc should be the basic minimum requirement of a professional footballer. Much as I respect that element of his game, which I agree is better than some of his colleagues efforts, which really isn’t saying much at the moment, he’s nowhere near the quality of footballer we need in midfield.

He was the worst of the terrible trio in midfield yesterday. Although I do think he's looked better this season.

You need technically good players but you also need players like Josh who do the hard work and he does that very well as well as looking to get into the box for crosses and to create chances.

It may not be the highest of bars right now but Josh is one of my first names on the team sheet.

    Big screens.

Martin Boyle is back which will help to mask a lot of the glaring deficiencies in our squad and in David Marshall we have one of the best goalkeepers in our recent history.

As far as positives on the park are concerned that's about it for me.

Club appears to be spending lots of money in big screens, electronic advertising boards and new hospitality

Forgetting the fact that fans only really care about winning football
    Matches.

    Priorities are all wrong.

Big week ahead for hibs - no league cup games either to look forward to.

Club has to give fans a lift with some real quality not 18yr old development players

Still money to come in from the Doig deal, long as we don’t waste it on the next big thing from Mongolian 3rd Division B team.

    Good goalkeeper.

Fullbacks are good, even if they didn't have a great day yesterday.

Centre halves who are much better than they showed yesterday and we should really now appreciate the guy that is going to be out injured for a couple of months.

All of the central midfielders are good individually, they just don't work together or in this system. Any of them might be part of a decent team, just not that 3 together. Kenneh and Henderson might also prove to be decent players.

Boyle and Youan should be good choices as the wide players in a front 3.

Several injured players might turn out very useful - McGeady, Mitchell, Magennis. I think we've missed Stevenson and he showed a bit of bite when he went on yesterday, something we badly need.

We have a raft of youngsters who should kick on and compete to get into the squad eventually. No consolation when our first team is poor right now, but it's better to have them than to have no hope of anyone breaking in over the next few years as the development squad is poor.

The problems are becoming increasingly obvious and we still have a few days to add to the squad. Surely to goodness we won't see that 3 in midfield together, ever again? Surely nobody thinks that a team who play Christian Doidge in the middle of a front 3 are going to compete to get into the top 6?

We know what we need to do. We're not far off imo but it feels like we're miles away. FWIW I don't expect us to do what we need to do this week and the first half of the season will be a dire struggle, but that's a shocking state of affairs given how many good players and reasons for positivity that we've actually got.

Getting rid of Jack Ross was probably the right decision.

If that's the route we're taking hearts and Aberdeen will be out of sight before these lads are anything like ready. Honestly, our club is run by ****ing idiots.
