5 games in and that’s exactly what we’re seeing.

It was a ridiculous thing to say though because it was clear as day we would see them playing together again because of the shambles of a squad we’ve assembled and the inexplicable decision to play Joe Newell every week.Last edited by Stubbsy90+2; 28-08-2022 at 08:34 AM.

Individually meh. Collectively brutal
How many goals have they directly contributed to whilst playing together?

Sadly this won’t be the last time this 3 play together.
Kenneh, the manager appears to have given up on him already.

Sadly I've nothing to offer you for this wonderful foresight.

Individually the three are fine but as a trio it just doesn’t work.
Id go for Kenneh, Newell and Campbell next time around, maybe swapping Newell for JDH or Henderson.
Do you think your security can keep you in purity, you will not shake us off above or below. Scottish friction, Scottish fiction

As a unit though they make up one of the worst midfields I’ve seen at Hibs.Last edited by Stubbsy90+2; 28-08-2022 at 07:00 PM.

All not good enough offer absolutely nothing yet we refuse to replace any of them with some actual quality

Horrendous, and I worry what will happen if they aren't changed.

Not to long ago we had a trio of Mcginn,Mcgeouch and Allan who we all knew what their roles was.
Yesterday I had no idea what Newell and JDH roles was? Both sitting playmakers? Newell got forward a couple times all game while JDH wasn't involved that much.
We all know what kennehs and Henderson roles is but unfortunately they are young and unproven at the top lev all though I do think it was harsh if Kenneh has been dropped just because of the goal.
Dream scenario would be move on Newell and JDH in my opinion before I get shot down.

If we are to progress none of these guys should be near a first pick.

I'm not really surprised after his performances this season. Worrying that we have Kenneh on a 3 year deal. We really need a very good midfielder in by the end of the deadline.

I honestly think under LJ that Campbell has been the best out of the three. I know JDH has been injured and just recently back, but think Campbell has been pretty good so far this season.
Been really disappointed in Newell, and I was one who was pleased he signed an extension. Just think out of the three he's the one who suits LJ's style least. Painfully slow in both pace and in terms of getting us up the pitch.
I'd be starting Kenneh, Campbell and hopefully a new signing (or Magennis when match fit)

Kenneh is the type of signing we should have made on top of signing 2 centre mids that were ready to start games, not the guy to fix a woefully performing midfield having never played first team football. Plenty people called it out months ago and yet the club still haven’t done anything about it.
Everyone could see how the midfield issue was going to unfold. Football fans aren’t stupid and generally know enough to be able to make a decent judgement of what will work and what won’t. Most of us would agree that our midfield simply isn’t going to work and if that’s how it unfolds, we’ll be bottom six again and probably looking for a new manager before the season is out.

No one seems to know, seems too good for the development squad, LJ said he lacked in his off the ball game, I take it that means his work rate and closing down but jeez have you seen the others in the team, they're not exactly wonderful at the high press either. Others seem to suggest there's a bit of a falling out with LJ, does seem weird that we need creativity which Tait gives you but he's not even quoted for the match day squad.

Let's be truthful here every supporter will have his/hers idea how the line up and how the team plays and most people will have a difference of opinion but What most people will agree on is the midfield is crap and has been for the last couple of years and the only people who don't see this is the recruitment team which is very very worrying.

Using a lack of defensive ability as a reason why guys like Scott Allan last season and Tait this season shouldn’t get a game whilst continuing to play guys like Newell and JDH who have next to no attacking ability is one of the main reasons we find ourselves where we are. Utterly depressing to watch and unable to break teams down.
Still, at least we’ve got players who can cut the passing lanes and screen the back 4 to a decent standard.

Midfield 3! we have no bloody midfield 3, not even a midfield 2.
Crazy state for our team to end up in, definition o madness is doing the same thing and expecting different results.
i just wonder when the football god's will smile on us again.
