Out of the 15 new players we have signed there is no one on the bench likely to come on and change the game our way if we are toiling.

    Disgraceful from the recruitment dept.

Did we sign 15 first team players btw?

    Can't see I seen that?

Think he’s been in Croatia all week due to a family bereavement so I kind of expected him not to start. He had a poor game against Livingston but I think he could be our player of the year come end of season.
Yeah i meant i didnt even think he would be on the bench

In fairness, you could argue that’s because they’re starting?

Boyle and Youan will provide a threat.

I imagine Johnson etc would put a case forward for Tavares and Bojang causing a threat too.

Campbell will be left wing back.
Happy with that, Campbell perfectly capable and has a great engine.

Doesn’t say much for any of our new signings when we’re pretty much going with last seasons team.

Way too lightweight in the middle of the park and nothing up top.

Jack//Lundstram/Lawrence will have our midfield on toast.
Yup. They’ll simply brush us aside. We need some bruisers in our side.

Not sure about dropping Kennah, maybe wants more mobility in the middle?

Looks like Henderson will be through the middle which I’m happy with. The front two have got pace to burn and will be difficult for the Hun defence to deal with.

Have I ever mentioned we desperately need at least one midfielder?

That's arguably not far off the strongest we have available with Cabraja obviously not deemed able to start. And that's a worry.

It really does seem we are pinning everything on Nisbet and Magennis coming back in and hitting the ground running.
Not being funny but if my dad had died within the last 7days I'm not sure I'd be in the frame of mind to play either

I think we are weak again in midfield, i'm not a big fan of Newell or Henderson, can see us defending an awful lot in our own half today, it will just be a matter of time before they score and get an easy win in my opinion.

Hopefully their game in midweek took a lot out of them.

2 players in the starting 11 that didn’t play for us last season despite the number of players we’ve signed is telling.

Might’ve been 3 with cab at LB

I would say we’ve plenty up front. Midfield, left wing back and centre half our weakest areas. Cabraja on the bench obviously can’t be helped.

Ooft that's nasty. Suppose you've got to make the best of a bad situation (injuries) but it just shows that for all the players we've brought in, to be so reliant on a number who've shown time and time again they aren't consistent enough or perhaps even good enough is a worry. Hopefully they come good today.

If you lose a your last game, and dont put in the performance, you have to change the team up a bit no?

    Glad to see Boyle starting.

Will be interesting that's for sure!

With a team that no-one on here really likes, we'll probably win ...

  21. #50
I really feel for Campbell if he is at wingback.

Not his position and against the best full back in the country and a winger in matondo who is absolutely rapid and very direct.

"Attacking line up" according to Hibs Facebook, clueless. A depressing line up would be more accurate.

Surprised to see cabraja on the bench
He lost his father last week, so probably a big reason why.

Maybe the only one here but im happy to see we're going for it. Looks like a more attacking lineup, always looked better vs them with a 3 at the back, pin the fullbacks in and you take away half the threat of rangers.

What bench are you looking at? Can see at least 5 players who could come on and change the game depending what was needed!

We had success before with wing backs pushing on against Tavernier and stopping him getting forward

How is it not an attacking line up though?

Boyle, Youan and Henderson offer little going back the way

We arnt playing a proper def midfielder either

Its not like are are just packing the midfielder and punting up to a big guy to win a free kick

At least wait til 5 mins after kick off before you throw them all under the ****ing bus?

  30. #59
We are at home so you would hope/expect us to press and try and attack them.

Not sure with that line up and who we have signed so far if we are anywhere near capable of doing that.

If we have no one on him, it's likely that Ryan Jack will run the show.

The theory is that when you play a 3-5-2 you don't need an out and out defensive midfielder.

Not totally sure I agree when playing Rangers as the JDH, Newell and Henderson 3 is nowhere near the standard of the McGeouch, McGinn and Allan trio.

At least Johnson is being positive though.
