    Surely yards makes sense.

You wouldn't say the penalty spot is 10.97 metres etc
Tom English on Sportsound might say it that way.!
He fancies himself as a bit of a bohemian.

In German a penalty is called an 'Elfmeter', i.e. 11 metres.

Because, just like the ubiquitous mobile phone, they are a distraction from the game. We've had screens down here for years, and I've never once come away from a game thinking that the screens improved my enjoyment of the match, at any ground. Call me old fashioned, but I'm there to watch the match, not gawp at a screen.
The screens should help fan experience at the game once VAR comes in, with explaining what is going on. Assuming that things run similarly to England that is, they will become an integral part of Match day.

Screens are great for reruns of scored goals. Halftime entertainment showing old footage of games, Birthday shouts etc. My club even has a halftime quiz on the screen which you can enter on your mobile and the winner gets a team shirt. Adds qyite a bit to the matchday experience I would say, plus advertising revenue goes up. Whats not to like.

Hertz were told that the second hand screens were in storage in Birmingham.
So a representative of the club is flying out to Alabama to negotiate a price.
They come with no guarantee, a foreign plug , no remote or instructions.

Looks dangerous to me. A big gust of wind.
Doubt they will be able to put it there.

Been a hell of a lot of wind there down the years without anyone caring so this rather precarious looking construction will surely be given listed building status or at the very least significant historical monument recognition by the council

A few architectural awards are inevitable. Best welding of a plastic telly to a scaffold pole. Ever.

I for one am glad to see that hearts are, as ever, following in our footsteps. It is good for Edinburgh football. They followed us on so many things through our joint history. They got their floodlights after us, they got their undersoil heating after us, they got shirt sponsorship after us, they entered European competition after us but never got quite as far into it as we did, they won the Scottish Cup after we did. Maybe one day they can aspire to having a stadium with a capacity over 20k like us. It is always good to see our neighbours strive to be like us, it is a form of flattery you know!

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

If they put a picture of the castle on the screens that means you will be able to see the castle from the new mega stand.
