Said for years now. Have so eone timing the actual game time. I don't mind when the ball goes out for a throw or corner. But when a player goes down and rolls about pretending to be hurt the clock should be stopped. Clubs like St Johnstone will continue to destroy the game if allowed to carry on like that evert week.

Horrible to watch and the ref let them away with it very time. Porteous kicks the ball away once after we went ahead and immediately booked. The ref had an absolute shocker today.

About time they were relegated. That today was chronic. I can accept sometimes you aren't as good as the opposition so have to try and slow the game down, time waste then hope for the best but that was horrible. Offered nothing, went down like they'd been shot constantly and took an eternity for any set plays or goal kicks. If I was a St Johnstone fan I'd be wanting my money back.

It's like they also watched the nonsense from Morton with this referee as they played him like a banjo.
The locals didn't look happy and some of their comments afterwards were funny. They were clearly irked at the celebrations by our fans - heard a few "you'd think they'd won the league" comments. One old boy was shouting 2 Cups! and giving it the vickies 😂
Really, really would not want to watch that guff and if that gang lose a few more matches early on, CD could be the next for a red card. From his job

Delighted we got the winner in added time. A chunk of that time was down to them.
Their time wasting was bordering on farcical. They have been as anti football as it has possible to be for years but when it worked criticising it just looked like sour grapes. Now it isn't working it's far easier to call them out as the horrible team they are.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

It wouldn't be an issue if the officials weren't so incompetent at adding on the right amount of injury time but they rarely add on enough. It's not difficult to use a stopwatch to record how long the game is stopped for but they manage to do a crap job of it more often than not.

Will probably survive through the play offs for another season.

I've seen better football from Arbroath. Cove, Raith & Queens Park this season. The lower divisions work better in a small format than the Prem does.
Too much money to lose financially. That's why the lower reaches of the Prem have been hotbed of industrial football for ages.

Imagine being outnumbered by the away fans on the first day of the season.

At one point ANOTHER St Johnstone player fell to the ground, this time off the pitch up near the corner flag but managed to roll on to the park so play would be stopped yet again. Been a while since I celebrated a goal like that. Horrible team. Got exactly what they deserved. **** all.

An absolutely disgusting team. No attempt to do anything with the ball.
They’ll be in bother this year.

I wonder if anyone remembers, years ago, did the Sunday Post not used to time the game and publish exactly how long the ball was in play?
I have a vague memory of that figure being around 30 minutes in some games, but my memory might be playing tricks.

Having said that, 'turgid' does sound like it should be the right one to use.

Are St Johnstone the new Airdrie?
I remember we used to really hate them as well, though more for the constant thuggery.
