Looks like a great job - a challenging and interesting role description with varied responsibilities.
But I do wonder: is this really a £25k a year post? Personally I’d say it’s a busy portfolio for even twice the price.

A lot of People do these roles for free as volunteers for smaller clubs …it could be a nice entry into a paid role for someone who wants a career in football

Not surprised, seen other roles in the past that we have advertised and by the looks of it the under pay by a good 10k-20k, makes you wonder the type of calibre of people applying

Does anyone know what similar roles at other SPL clubs pay?
I honestly don’t think it’s a horrendous salary, for a job with zero qualifications required. It’s admin. I work at the Uni and know folk who’ll be on a similar wage for admin roles too.
It’s not “well paid” by any means, but what do folk think that kind of role should pay???

Hearts were offering £25k for a football operations manager for their b team/womens team recently so the pay is probably the same at most clubs

It will appeal to someone starting their career or someone who’s retired and may want the kudos of working with Hibs.

The club are clearly trying to do what's best for the good of the club, team and supporters but there are some people who want to pounce on any opportunity to knock Hibs. It's bloody depressing reading the constant negativity when it's clear the owner is making a huge effort, more than at any time I can ever remember, to improve the stadium, matchday experience, training facilities, communications to supporters, team on the pitch etc.
No wonder people take themselves off the forum - who needs to see the constant stream of negativity towards the club!!

"Hibernian Football Club have created a football structure and strategy that is at the very forefront of the British game with a club philosophy and ethos that is performance driven and encourages all players and staff to maximise their ability and potential."
And here's £25k for being a key part of the above.

Would you accept Hibs paying crap wages for a player because "it will appeal to someone"?

Isn’t that what happened with the spark? They aren’t still advertising, so they got someone.

Its not like there aren't plenty of people in this world being well underpaid for work they do. This is no different. An electrician at ER could have the safety of dozens during the week, potentially thousands on a match day, in their hands. Not a role I'd be paying peanuts for personally.
