Mate, last season wouldn't make the top 5 in my memory. Relax yourself a little.
    He said recent memory.

I’m not sure that’s all that debatable really. Last season was absolutely terrible and probably the worst since we got relegated 8 years previous.

I was surprised to learn he only started 6 games for Benfica B last season and came off the bench 18 times. Played just under 700 minutes for the B team last year.

I thought he was a regular.

That’s utterly ridiculous. Must be around 9/10 to leave

I suppose if he played too many, and was then included in the first team squad more often, we'd find ourselves priced out very quickly.

I think timing is key here and hope we've found a good one.

I'm sure a number of the younger ones will go out on loan again and a few others will be moved on.

I certainly don't see us signing many more players until that happens right enough.

It’s not though as he’s included players for the B team.

First team squad will be much lower than that, for a start you can take out Hauge, Delferrier, Mitchell (GK), McIntyre and others that aren’t going to be playing first team football.

What is recent memory? If its actually a persons memory then it wouldn't be close to our worst. If its the last 8 years, then sure, maybe. Although staying down for 3 years is probably worse.

Last season was really poor, I don't disagree. It really has nothing to do with things right now. New manager, new players. Forget it and move on.

A lot of them will be Dev players

Pleased with this one. He also looks the part in the retro Purple striped kit! They should just bring it back for real.

So we've signed a boy that couldn't get a game for Benfica's B team? Hud me back on buying a new season ticket.

This close season has probably been the most negative of any I can remember, usually people have a bit of excitement about new signings but everyone so far has been met with a very mixed at best reception. I am glad it's not me signing for hibs, can't wait for the boo's to ring out as soon as the first mistake of the season is made.

Think some people would be happier if we went back to our failed approached of signing whoever has performed well for St Mirren and St Johnstone anlong with a few English league one players.

I’m pretty exited about what we are trying here.

    Another huge gamble from Hibs.

Hopefully he hits the ground running.

Time to dig out the Jimmy Boco wig. These signings seem utterly random. Success and the board and management are geniuses, failure and we’ll be facing relegation and fan mutiny.

It’s actually brutal, like a total enthusiasm hoover - don’t get excited about anything, for god sake. Come on buzzing about a new signing, phoning the Samaritans ten minutes later.

Welcome to Hibs, I seen from the video clips he likes to play on both sides. What's his preferred wing?

I’ve started replying to a few but stopped mid way through typing. There really isn’t any point. If anybody wants to be miserable about a singing like this then good luck to them, I’m no going to change their mind.

Hopefully there’s a couple of steady Eddie boring signings ahead to keep them happy too. 😃

Wouldn’t say it’s about steady Eddie boring signings, more players with a bit of experience. Not to say it won’t change but we are continuing on the route of signing untested youngsters with potential. We are expecting these guys to adapt to a different style of football in a different country. Hard enough for experienced professionals, but these guys are anything but. Even if they turn out to be brilliant, at that age consistency is often an issue.

Other than Marshall and Rocky, difficult to have any kind of opinion on anyone we’ve signed so far. I don’t think Tavares will be the last of this type of signing this summer so there is going to be some decent ones somewhere in amongst them all.

Still think we are desperate for a first pick, central midfielder and striker.

My concern is that, in isolation, a signing like this would bring a bit of excitement. But loads of them getting thrown together and trying to form a team out of them is a different story. Hopefully it comes off and they all click quickly. I think I’m more worried about a number of the players that were already here, and on long contracts, that these guys need to come in and play with.
