Hi folks looking for restaurant or pub suggestions here,
Meeting up with my sister and her husband in Edinburgh on a weekday lunchtime into early evening. They are big zimmerspoon fans because my brother-in-law only drinks draft ale, and would want to eat there also.
my response being, it's a rare chance to meet up (especially post covid) we canny be eating in a sh!!ty witherspoons
So i'm basically looking for suggestions of restaurant or pubs with guaranteed quality food and some draft ale,.....lager,boddingtons,guinness etc is not going to cut it, we are talking proper old codger warm beer here lol.
Let's forget about price/ or location as long as it's in Edinburgh.
(In fact, morel likey to be a pub if we eat between 2pm and 6)
ta,
youve got 48 hours

The last time I was at indigo yard it was really good and ticked all the boxes.

Teuchters or Teuchters Landing.

I'd second the Abbotsford too. Same owners as the Guildford, comparable beer selection with the added bonus the Abbotsford has a few Aitken tall fonts remaining to dispense it. It the OP has someone in their group who likes their real ale then they will appreciate that.

Meeting up with family in Edinburgh sounds like a blast! If you're looking for quality food and proper old codger warm beer, you might want to check out caffetropea.co.uk. They offer delicious Italian dishes and could be a cozy spot for a weekday lunch or early evening meet-up. As for pubs, maybe give The Hanging Bat or The Bow Bar a try? Both known for their great selection of craft beers and tasty bites.
