Looks like we're getting it. Hampden and Murrayfield will be the Scottish stadiums.

By default as no one else wants it, will there be enough countries to still take part by that time?

Wonder if the SFA will rebuild Hampden for this.

Seems a very short gap between us hosting the last Euros. Should we be worried that no one else bid?

How does this work for the host getting automatic entry?

Anyway, now to sit back and watch the SFA make a right rip roaring noel hunt of the Hampden redevelopment. Knowing the suits they'll probably keep the rangers and celtic ends as they are for us plebs while adding a few heated leather seats, boxes and escalators to the north stand for the corporates.

Surely a major rebuild this time, just look at what Wales, Ireland and Denmark have. Something similar please with better rail links.

While at Murrayfield you can be on a tram then train to nearly anywhere in Scotland pretty quickly.

Would have vastly preferred a Scotland & Ireland bid.
Now THAT would be how to host a tournament

We should shaft the English FA and put in another bid without them at the last minute.

Or put it somewhere in the East of Glasgow, with purpose built transport links and much more accessible by every other city in the country.
Or at least paint the ****ing girders on the roof."...when Hibs won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

If they do anything, there more likely want to keep the main stand and knock down the rest as that the newest and most expensive part of the ground.

Uefa is expected to expand the European Championships to 32 teams for the 2028 edition although under new rules none of the five host nations will qualify automatically.

The talk is doing a stuttgart and knocking the ends behind the goal down and having two stands that go right to the touchline

I think the problem Hampden has is that it can't build upwards because of height restrictions of surrounding homes/flats, and they can't build down because of waterways beneath Hampden.
Would bringing in the East and West stands create enough new seats to justify the huge cost?

Roughly half of the seats at Hampden are behind the goals including the corners so you would need to give the North two tiers (It's currently between 8,000 and 9,000) a massive upgrade while making
They probably need to knock down the East, West & North and move the pitch closer to the south and build a two tier stand that goes all the way round.
