Looks like the last train back to Edinburgh is 10:15 on that night on the new timetable.

Might be worth remembering for anyone from these parts who - like me - are planning on going to the game.
I would advise anyone thinking of going by train to make other arrangements, you won't get back to Edinburgh.
I'm staying in Glasgow now, booked a hotel & was surprised to find some decent ones available at fairly reasonable prices.

International football doesn't mean a great deal to me these days but I'll be lending my support to Ukraine on this occasion. Having watched some of their fans talking about what it would mean for the country to reach a World Cup I can live without Scotland being there. Not such a big deal in light of the bigger picture.

I have all the sympathy in the world for Ukraine, and I would love them to be at the world cup.But I haven't seen Scotland at the world cup since 1998,its been a very long time so I will be putting my sympathy for Ukraine to one side for the game. Its going to be a tough night for obvious reasons but I think Scotland can do it

Are there no 900 buses running from Buchanan Street?

It happens in other sports. At my first away rugby international I was surprised to hear the Welsh join in with 'Flower of Scotland', made an effort to learn the English version of 'Land of my Fathers' as a result. Now at 6 nations games I join in with all but one .
Granted, there are very many anthems I wouldn't have a clue about and wouldn't even attempt....Ukraine being up there.....that and I've never done that at a football game. I think its a nice idea though.....just as long as they understand that while that ball is being kicked around the pitch the niceties will temporarily be suspended.

I wouldn't sing the Ukraine anthem,I think Scotland need to concentrate on ourselves Having said that I wouldn't be against a Scotland Ukraine flag before the game to show support. We all know for this game Scotland is on its own everyone will be supporting Ukraine. We need to think of ways to encourage our players not Ukraine

    Nice touch.

I'd happily let them win. How can they be expected to play when their families are being killed at home.

I think Scotland should be embarrassed to play the game. Let them through automatically to boost the nation

    Birthday caird pish

The Ukrainian footballers have continued to play at club level. I applaud them of this in difficult times for their families and loved ones.

Their country is at war, which is awful and I imagine it would galvanise the country to be there but surely on merit.

I hope Scotland pump them and then pump Wales & I am English

Personally not for me, but stuff like that will be a big hit on social media no doubt. It's the age that we're in.

The majority of the people of Scotland will no doubt feel a lot of sympathy for Ukraine but every single Scotland fan who attends this match needs to just focus on getting behind the Scottish team.

This is a huge opportunity for the nation and I'm afraid to say that any sympathy for Ukraine needs to go out the window for the night and focus on the job in hand.

The rest of the world not only expects us to lose next week, but they will want us to lose and I understand the reasons why but our fans need to be united behind our own team.

Certainly our fans should be respectful towards the Ukrainians but singing their national anthem is a bit much for me.

Showing support and solidarity with the nation of Ukraine before the game kicks off and supporting the Scottish football team wholeheartedly during the match are not mutually exclusive positions to take. I will be doing both.

Exactly. Once the players are on the pitch Hampden should be bouncing and an atmosphere that the Ukraine players don’t enjoy. Everything else going on goes out the window during the game.

I’m glad that Ukraine have managed to get to play the game and that in itself is a great achievement but fingers crossed that’s as good as it gets for them and we’re at the WC in December.

Do the Ukrainians really want 50 thousand drunk Scots ruining what will be a poignant moment for them by attempting to sing an anthem that most won’t have even heard before? It’s a pretty poor attempt at a PR win by a Uefa sponsor

Depends if the tune is a belter or not, if we played France and I knew the words I'd sing it
