I suggest you read what he said, 'no interest in this World Cup', and not simply that he disagreed with the hosting location.
Apologies, I’ll clarify. I have no interest in THIS World Cup due to where it is being hosted. Other than that, the post above perfectly answers your question, why bother?

I suggest I did read it, and thought only someone looking to pick something out of nothing would deliberately not understand what he meant. Due to the widely publicised reasons, he’s been put off of the World Cup this year because of where it’s being hosted.

In any case, maybe he isn’t ‘bothering’ this year.

    ***Pedantry Alert***

How can an angry wee man be made "happy".

Surely it should be "whatever makes you angriest"?

Ukrainian men cannot leave the country. Don’t see how this will help them in the slightest, they have much more important things on their mind.

There are plenty of non-Ukrainians playing (or rather not playing) in Ukraine and loads of non-Russians playing in Russia.

Hickey can play right back. Remember they are friendlies and it gives Clarke an opportunity to play a few different players

He hasnt really picked different players apart from hickey as far as i can see, if its an opportunity to play different players then he should be at least doing it

What I meant is he doesn’t have to play 1st picks like Tierney/Robertson etc in both games
He can give some of the other squad members game time, see how they shape up

Is it correct Craig Halkett has been brought into the squad? Surely not Porto is 4 times the player that huddy is? Obviously a benefit of being based at Oriam.

Without going through the whole thread it is very sad, that many of the players who may have played for Ukraine may well have taken up arms to try and protect the land that they represent, by the time any game is played.
Kind of puts football in perspective as far as I am concerned, I also have very little interest in this World Cup even if Scotland was to end up there.

Friendly with Poland raised £500k for Unicef

Ukraine conflict: Scottish FA 'overwhelmed' as Poland friendly raises £500,000 for UNICEF - BBC Sport

The Scottish FA says it is "overwhelmed" by the generosity of fans after the March friendly against Poland raised £500,000 to help the children of war-torn Ukraine.
A crowd of 39,090 attended the 1-1 draw at Hampden Park, with £10 donated from each ticket to UNICEF's appeal.

Further cash was raised through text donations plus contributions from some of the SFA's commercial partners.
