Hope we get a good crowd, otherwise if we get through and get Celtic at ER in the next round Doncaster might give them the South and the whole of the East Stand. 🙃

I don’t think Amy reading facts off a piece of paper had anything to do with that though
Yep, just sums up that shambolic unnecessary BBC Scotland channels production. I'd rather we all just got "yoon" BBC anyway.

I like it, allows for lower league games, earlier rounds of cup and more womenswear matches to be on TV

But I’m also the sort of person not to get worked up over of a cup draws presentation so maybe I’m just easier pleased

Hearts will win. I also doubt that game will be played in Auchinleck. Probably get switched to Kilmarnock. Its only about 15 miles, that will be a tv games as well.
I think it will, they have a tidy little ground that holds 4000. I doubt they will want to give up home advantage.

Home draw against lower league opposition is everything you would hope for before the draw is made. Fingers crossed we can continue our good cup form into the Scottish cup this season. If you keep knocking at the door and all that
The last time we lost in a cup competition outside Hampden was the 0-2 v Celtic all the way back in 2019.

    • Peterhead v East Kilbride East Kilbride not the power they used to be

      Clydebank v Annan Likely Annan

Banks O Dee v Raith Rovers Raith

Motherwell v Inverness/Morton Likely next round banana skin for somebody will be eliminated

Kelty Hearts/Montrose v St Johnstone Kelty could give the Sainties a battle

Livingston v Ross County Who would we like to see knocked out?

Dumbarton v Dundee Should be easy enough for Dundee

Aberdeen v Edinburgh City Could be a rugby score for the Dons, nice payday for the visitors

      Rangers v Stirling Albion Ditto

Ayr United v St Mirren Ayr will be up for this

Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd Killie doing well and could give United a scare, but my money would be on the Arabs

Hibernian v Cove Rangers/ Queen of the South Only beat CR 2-1 last year in the LC Group stages, and QOTS have kept it close in the past. Play Dabrowski in goal maybe, but good outfield team needed

Patrick Thistle v Airdrie Fancy Partick, but Airdrie doing well in L1

Auchinleck Talbot v Hearts Could Hearts do it 2 years in a row>

Alloa v Celtic Big payday for Annan

      Arbroath v Darvel/Brechin City Perm 1 from 3

Standard draws for the OF as well.
To be fair I’m not sure we can moan about that when over the last 5 years or so we’ve done as well as anyone in the draws for both cups

A cup game against a team with Rangers in their name is a basically a bye to the next round.

Yeah, our biggest rivals away from home 3 years in a row was a nice easy draw.

Nowhere near a bye also given we won't have played for a while we may be freshened up or not quite at it. Tricky tie which we should win but possible either could make it difficult.

The chances of that happening especially in the early rounds are probably up there with winning the lottery. Incredible run of draws.

Almost certainly a Championship team next season---cant take them lightly, lot of good players there. In general, all the teams coming up through the pyramid are doing well. Kelty *&^%$ are running away with Divi 2, and Edinburgh City have managed the playoffs each year. And then there's Queens Park, going all professional and getting Falkirks manager fired...they could go up with Cove this year.

I know what you mean. I don’t think I’m really any more comfortable with playing Cove rather than queens…

Having said that. The draw should always have been one that suits us regardless of the result tonight and, If we go about our work properly, we should be safely into the next round.

Here’s hoping our general form is in a better place by the time the tie comes round in any case.

At home to a lower league team?? shouldnt be a problem---just be professional, and a chance to give Fraser Fyvie a welcome back

I have no concerns about this one. Comfortable win.

Me less so. Would always favour a winning team playing with confidence against losing team short on confidence from the division above, so QoS would have been the easier tie.
However a two division gap is altogether different and our poor run of results is certainly not reflective of our general form which is more than fine to see us take care of Cove with a bit to spare.
