Fact Aberdeen are looking for their first win in ten makes me less confident today as we always seem to help teams break a bad run.

We often do but Ross will be determined not to let this happen
But he needs to get the players up for this game to ensure we Uo the tempo more and don’t look flat
If last game was just a bad day at the office we will ensure today we don’t get beat

It would be good if we could get going from the off as well and not be reliant on us coming out better after half time

McGregor and Stevenson in as well. Doig, Allan and Murphy on bench.

Shows how light we are that Gullan is brought into start

I can understand why as we will give more legs than Murphy or Allan

I wonder if Scott's injured actually

Craziness we’re still relying on McGregor & Stevenson to come back into the team.

Our horrendous transfer window laid bare

Should we have 3 first team left backs?

Either of them are capable of turning in a MoM performance. They're not the weakest back-ups we could have.

Stevenson hasn’t let us down this season…arguably been our best left back so far

Stevenson has played about as well when he's been picked this season as he has done at any time during his time with us. McGregor has had a lot more good than bad when he's been used as well over the course of 2021.

I have more of an issue with the fact that Nisbet still starts after having been in such poor form for a while, as we are so short of realistic alternatives. After saying that, I have a hunch that this might be the kind of game where he makes some sort of an impact.

Now that JR has clarified the injury situation,I would also go with.

    Macey
    McGinn,Wood,Hanlon
    Cadden,Doyle-Hayes,Newell,Doig
    Murphy
    Boyle,Nisbet

The negative criticism of Wood was way out of order. The laddie was thrown in at the deep end and got absolutely no help from senior players around about him.Yes Hanlon and Newell,I’m referring to you.

The bench will no doubt once again be threadbare and will not provide anyone who will be a game changer.

JR was making good noises during the week about Jamie Gullan, after he scored a hat trick for the youth team.He said he was looking to give Gullan a chance, but I’ll believe that when I see it.

If Hibs can’t stop the losing run against Aberdeen,I shall be somewhat worried about the future leading up to the January transfer window.
Now I can believe it about Gullan.Hope he does well.

Stevenson is dependable and still a better defender than Doig. Given that Doig hasn't really caused much problems at the top end of the park for weeks it seems a fair enough choice to try and shore up the backline.

McGregor can dominate at the back for large spells. I know he's getting on but if he can keep his concentration levels up and avoid mistakes then I'm more than happy with him in the team over Wood.

Happy to see Gullan given a chance from the get go also. Nisbet up front on his own just isn't working for one reason or another.

C'Mom Hibs. Let's do this. GGTTH.

Yep no brainer that he started today. Josh's form has tailed off and Lewis won't let anyone down. Cadden is lucky to start after last week's dire performance.

Not doubting that. My issue isn’t that I don’t think Stevenson and McGregor are decent back ups but I don’t feel like, especially with McGregor, that we should be having to rely on them these days. Better recruitment would’ve seen to that but the CB we did bring in sits on the bench with a 36 year old starting ahead of him.

Agree with this - Cadden due us a performance today.

Absolutely no surprise to see McGregor in over Wood as well.
