Next to the QR code is your name and address with the dates of each vaccination, that's all the stewards need, they may check them with the name on the season ticket as is their right. I was at a gig on Monday at O2 Newcastle and the stewards just checked our phone for the info and got a band on our wrists, took 1 min per person, no details or private info given. Far too many people worrying over giving out info that the stewards couldn't give a **** about.
    Thanks for that.

You clearly haven't. Proof of vaccination to a steward yes. But having to prove this to some random guy who sits beside your QR code 😂😂
Has anyone implied you have to prove it to someone sitting beside you, the point was raised that people would want to know the people sitting beside them were vaccinated and not some chancer looking to get to the game who could spread the virus. If the they've shown their vaccine status to a steward then that's all that needs to be done.

Someone further up the thread said it was their business to know if someone sitting next to them was vaccinated or not. I think the argument was people getting in who weren't.

Maybe turn them away in the knowledge they really should go and get the vaccine.

    Canceling their season ticket though?
I wouldn't cancel it but I would suspend it until either they get vaccinated or the rules change.

Well yeah, it is. People attending these events are entitled to expect that everyone there has been double vaccinated.

I think they meant they wanted to be secure in the knowledge that everyone at the game had been vaccinated and not someone blagging it with someone else's ticket to the game, what was the point of the OP if he already new the answer, it looked like he was asking if he would get in without the proof of vaccine.

    This.

A quick look at the code on your phone to see if your double vaxxed and a check with the season ticket to prove you are the same person. No double vax, no entry.

    Correct decision ! 👋👋

Oh right. Here were your words - “ nobody has any right to know any medical information about me. Its called data protection.”

    Except the steward obviously.

Might just make people get it now as they don't want to risk losing their season ticket.

To answer the question a bit more directly - is the answer dying?

Why would they have to not go? They should be able to have even more comfort that everyone attending has been double vaccinated.

It is if he sits next to someone that shouldn't be there. Being even more honest!
Vaccination does not prevent you from contracting COVID nor does it prevent you from passing it on. It makes the symptoms far less severe and virtually eliminates fatalities.

Why does this nonsense keep getting repeated on here? It is wrong.

It is not 100% effective but that isn't what people like you are saying - you are saying it doesn't stop you getting it or passing it on at all. That's rubbish.
