Thought he was really good today. Booking was his only real mistake, Kane knew exactly what he was doing there.
I wouldn't say it was a mistake. He was fouled and shouldn't have been booked.

    Outstanding performance.
Wouldnt say outstanding by a long way. Infact no one in a Hibs shirt today was anything like outstanding. Thought Hanlon was better than Porto personally, Too many attempts at hollywood passes from Porto for me.

Agree with this - his “distribution” requires some work. Solid decently though.

Surely it's Hanlon that tries more of those with the cross field passes?

I think they were both honestly fantastic today. Won almost everything in the air, never bossed in the tackle and were always available or a pass.

I love Porto but today there was more than one occasion were he tried to outmuscle Kane first and failed, one time leaving him on his backside. If he had have concentrated on winning the ball and not the man, he probably would have won the ball. However, he's the professional footballer and I'm not

Started the season very well, as he did last season.

Hopefully he keeps it up and gets rid of the mistakes we saw last season

His distribution is at times off but overall I would say it’s very good and is a main part of many of our attacks, he pings it wide or slips it into a midfielder in space which most defenders wouldn’t try.

They only thing I would say annoys me is the type of pass, there’s times he tries to fizz it in too much and it bounces right in front of our player leaving a very difficult touch and it gives the opposition the chance to nick it.

I thought he was excellent again today. I would love someone to post his touch count; everything goes through him from the back. Always available for the midfield and the GK, I think he starts well over 75% of our build-up play. Solid in the header as well.

Agreed. Thought our back line were all excellent today but Porto was the pick of the bunch fir me. He’s showing maturity that has been missing in the past. Now making that transition to that higher level in my opinion. We genuinely are lucky to have him and I’m certain clubs will come calling

Outstanding today. He’s young and still has rough edges to his game but he is an absolute winner

Was more apparent at Tannadice when I was much closer to the pitch, that’s it’s Porteous who does the shouting, organising, cajoling and berating in the defence. Captain material

    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
    He'll die before he's sold.

Totally agree about his passion. Really chuffed with his performances this season. Seems to really have matured.

Can't be long until that first Scotland cap comes. Next International break?
Don't see any valid reason why not tbh. Deserves it.

In the Hearts game, I think he won every header; the lad is a callōsus. He is still only 22, yet being back at games, you can see how he physically and verbally bosses games.

credit where it's due he did have a good game

though i did think he fell forward a tad easy one time in the first half in our box
He did fall easily but he got a free kick for it. He knew what he was doing.

Porteous was my MoM. He's a huge presence on the field. Prone to an error at times but so what.

  22. #81
But CHs have been top class this season. Very difficult to replace.

  23. #82
Less mistakes this season and that was his achilles heal.
Also becoming a loud voice on the field.
As before I reckon he is the guy we should be asking the big bucks for.
Could easily become a high level player.

He is definitely a captain on the pitch, got a huge will to win .
I like how he doesnt always play the easy pass, looking to break the lines a lot of the time, will make mistakes at times, but what player doesnt?
