Welcome aboard the Heck. You have three goals from now until the end of the season:
    1. Get into the top six.
    2. Beat Celtic and get us into the semi final of the Cup.
    3. Beat the Hertz at Tynecastle.

Get at least one of them done and you're doing no bad. Two and it's a great start. Three and it'll be "Neil Who?" from even the most hardline Lennon backers.

I may be over analysing that statement but it would appear that Heck was prepared to work within the structure where other candidates weren't.

    Welcome aboard!

It does to a club like ours who probably can't afford to pay managers off on these contracts. Lennon situation was different and was mutually consented rather than sacked and paid in full.

The new man has a free hit for the remainder of the season for me. Gives him time to suss the squad out before what will be an important pre season for him and the team. Anything acheived before then is a bonus , next season will be when we can start to judge his team.

Doesn’t matter if he has a 4 months pay off clause

Good luck Paul. Let's push on and see what you can do with some really decent players here.

It does if he is a success and another club want to recruit him.

Comes across as a more pragmatic version of Tony Mowbray.

No idea buddy - if the Appleton rumours were true I suspect he does ...anyway let’s hope he gets a new contract after our 3rd year in a row in Europe !

Absolutely...welcome Paul and good luck for the rest of this season...am sure there will be some changes come the summer but there is the nucleus of a half decent squad there to work with till May.

Welcome ! Excited to see what he can do.

Hopefully players get a boost for the next 3 games to help top 6 prospects.

Cup game will be hard but nothing to lose.

Hopefully he addresses the imbalance we have within the squad and also signs some wide players with pace.
