When did any then put in a performance for the club?
Are you honestly asking when Kamberi, Mallan and Slivka last put in a performance for the club?

How long have you supported us, out of interest ? Longer than 10 days or less?

Where do you even start with this.
I think there’s a few dead wood within the team and my listen would be
Whittaker, Nelom, Milligan, Horgan, Slivka, Agyepong, Mallan, Kamberi
No way should he be binned. Mallan is a quality footballer in a poor side lets see how he gets on with the new manager and Scotty Allan alongside him. Mallan has been much better since Eddie may pushed him up the park a bit.

So good that he dropped him for Celtic?

The current problem is virtually nobody (possible excludes keepers) is performing up to the required standard. The form of the team is poor and ‘form’ is temporary. What we need is to play through this slump. Confidence will return with the right manager at the helm.

I think the most important thing at the moment is to try to get more out of the players we have. We're certainly better in terms of ability than our league placing.

I think one of the main problems with the squad Neil Lennon has put together is imbalance. We lack quality players of a specific type in a couple of areas of the team. IMHO though we do have quite a number of players who I'd like to see stay with us under the new manager.

Out of contract and ageing players in the summer will also be important in deciding where to strengthen.

As far as I can tell Gray, McGregor, Nelom and Bartley are out of contract. Big Marv is popular with fans but will probably leave as will Nelom. Gray and McGregor have both been great players for us but I'm not sure their bodies can do what's required at this level much more. Most would love to see them remain at the club but probably not as first choice for their position.

Bogdan, Gauld, Bigirimana, Omeonga, Agyepong and McNulty have their loan spells ending. I'd definitely be keen to keep Bogdan. McNulty has also shown some promising signs IMO. Both have also indicated they might be receptive to a permanent move.

We also have Scott Allan coming in.

If we leave Gray, McGregor, Bogdan and McNulty out of things for now we would be left with a squad of:

    Marciano
    Whittaker, Mackie, Stevenson,
    Hanlon, Porteous
Slivka, Milligan, Mallan, Horgan, Allan, Fraser Murray
    Boyle
    Kamberi, Shaw

When you look at that it's clear we'll need a goalie (Bogdan?), a first choice right back, a centre-back, central midfielder with some dig and drive, some more pace in wide areas, another striker. We probably need more than one player of some of these too.

Yip should be cleared. This guy has started 2 threads today with only 10 posts total. Both are exagerated negative rubbish. Does not merit a response, as the guy is obviously a troll. What is funny is that some actually agree with him. Makes you wonder.

A bizarre decision after a goal and assist in Paisley

Saving him for what's turned out to be the biggest game of the season!

Lets just wait and see what the new manager can do with who he has available. No point jumping to conclusions. Some players could thrive under a new boss and in a system that maximises their qualities. Pointless thread imo.

Think it's unfair for anyone to say they're happy to punt most of our players in the summer when there are still 3 months under a new manager for them to prove their worth. Totally irrelevant conversation to be having right after a window has closed and our next manager hasn't even walked in the door yet.

Sick of the call for clear outs and rebuilds. There is the nucleus of a very decent squad. This same team more or less took us to 4th and a nice Euro run. McGinn/McGeogh are hard to replace but Allan coming in and Gauld in the mix is an interesting starting point.

I’ll be bitterly disappointed if the club feels it has to clear the decks because fans can’t see that we’ve got some decent guys on the pitch.

Take away short term players sqauds light anyway.we know what the players at the club inform can do.you could say we need the graft to go with the football.alan stubbs used to go on about the right type of player.I think we need that now more than ever, obviously its no easy,my opinion is we need hungry young midfielders who want to prove a point, and can drive the team on.I think we lack that type.ive harped on about ambrose, but when youve seen a player like that in your team and they move on,its hard not too.same when big rob jones left.but we need something of eithers ability.obviously with porto we have a cracking player developing.but right now, and this will be extremely hard for whoever comes in,we need them to galvanise what we have, and maybe see some new ways of getting the best out of a team low on confidence and depleated by injuries.my opinion is the new guy will find it hard to have an initial impact.but me personally looking to nxt season I think we will be in a good place to move forward.but like it was in the summer recruitment will be essential.and hopefully better.

I'm not suggesting a total overhaul but something needs to change and fast, relegation form at present.
Something has changed, we've removed the manager who wasn't able to get a consistent performance out of a team of players who've shown in flashes they can play very good football.

Accepting that there’s 3 months to go this season, but we need to be realistic about what a new manager can achieve. He’s hardly going to suddenly give our ageing defence a turn of pace ?

So time to say bonjour to

    Whittaker
    McGregor
    Milligan

We evolve every season, players will come and go. I did read on here that just by getting rid of Lennon things were going to be better anyway.

    I can’t wait.

McGregor is not slow, possibly the quickest defender we have, although Stevenson is pretty quick as well

Good Hibs link - Del Boy did talk about Arthur Duncan in one episode (at least, I'm assuming it was Arthur he had in mind when he mentioned Nijinsky).

It’s the mounting injuries and slow recovery time between games that comes with age.

It’s hurting us. We can carry one or two players like this but we really need like 80-90% of our squad to be able to play twice a week.
