Are you honestly asking when Kamberi, Mallan and Slivka last put in a performance for the club? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The current problem is virtually nobody (possible excludes keepers) is performing up to the required standard. The form of the team is poor and ‘form’ is temporary. What we need is to play through this slump. Confidence will return with the right manager at the helm.

I think the most important thing at the moment is to try to get more out of the players we have. We're certainly better in terms of ability than our league placing.
I think one of the main problems with the squad Neil Lennon has put together is imbalance. We lack quality players of a specific type in a couple of areas of the team. IMHO though we do have quite a number of players who I'd like to see stay with us under the new manager.
Out of contract and ageing players in the summer will also be important in deciding where to strengthen.
As far as I can tell Gray, McGregor, Nelom and Bartley are out of contract. Big Marv is popular with fans but will probably leave as will Nelom. Gray and McGregor have both been great players for us but I'm not sure their bodies can do what's required at this level much more. Most would love to see them remain at the club but probably not as first choice for their position.
Bogdan, Gauld, Bigirimana, Omeonga, Agyepong and McNulty have their loan spells ending. I'd definitely be keen to keep Bogdan. McNulty has also shown some promising signs IMO. Both have also indicated they might be receptive to a permanent move.
We also have Scott Allan coming in.
If we leave Gray, McGregor, Bogdan and McNulty out of things for now we would be left with a squad of:
Marciano
Whittaker, Mackie, Stevenson,
Hanlon, Porteous
Slivka, Milligan, Mallan, Horgan, Allan, Fraser Murray
Boyle
Kamberi, Shaw
When you look at that it's clear we'll need a goalie (Bogdan?), a first choice right back, a centre-back, central midfielder with some dig and drive, some more pace in wide areas, another striker. We probably need more than one player of some of these too.

Lets just wait and see what the new manager can do with who he has available. No point jumping to conclusions. Some players could thrive under a new boss and in a system that maximises their qualities. Pointless thread imo.

Think it's unfair for anyone to say they're happy to punt most of our players in the summer when there are still 3 months under a new manager for them to prove their worth. Totally irrelevant conversation to be having right after a window has closed and our next manager hasn't even walked in the door yet.

Sick of the call for clear outs and rebuilds. There is the nucleus of a very decent squad. This same team more or less took us to 4th and a nice Euro run. McGinn/McGeogh are hard to replace but Allan coming in and Gauld in the mix is an interesting starting point.
I’ll be bitterly disappointed if the club feels it has to clear the decks because fans can’t see that we’ve got some decent guys on the pitch.

Accepting that there’s 3 months to go this season, but we need to be realistic about what a new manager can achieve. He’s hardly going to suddenly give our ageing defence a turn of pace ?
So time to say bonjour to
Whittaker
McGregor
Milligan

We evolve every season, players will come and go. I did read on here that just by getting rid of Lennon things were going to be better anyway.
I can’t wait.

It’s hurting us. We can carry one or two players like this but we really need like 80-90% of our squad to be able to play twice a week.
