I wouldn’t be surprised if DG and Lennon don’t get on
Lennon is an @rse and rips players to bits
I wouldn’t be sad if Lennon walked

His attempt at defending in the first half when the boy basically walked past him without challenge was embarrassing.. that's before even getting onto his first touch which is a disgrace
I thought whittaker played well last night ......................................for murderwell

Gray says his recovery from injury not quite 100% yet but hopefully get a start on Sunday

Strange folk don’t want Lennon to risk Porteous when coming back from injury but ok to risk Gray

Gray will be like a new high-budget signing once he comes back. Can't wait. But no point asking him to play before he's fully fit. We will need him in the later stages of the Scottish Cup.

Was going to come on against Elgin presumably to regain some match sharpness, but Bogdan got injured and it was our final sub. Hopefully has had plenty of training time since to get him up to speed for Sunday

Thought Gray was outstanding today. We missed him so much!

Simply a beautiful sexy bald man 💚💚😘

Davy Gray needs to be starting when he's fit.

Doesn't matter if it's against Hearts, St Mirren or Molde. We look A FAR better team and much more dangerous with him in it as an out ball on the right hand side

    And he's a warrior 💚

One good thing to come out of all this Lennon nonsense is that Gray might now be offered a new contract

He’s a leader and should play every week when fit. You saw today how he was always in McLean’s ear trying to influence things.

He's our captain. He plays like a captain. He carries the team.
Absolutely should be offered a new contract.

    I love the man.

His importance to the team on the pitch, never mind off it, cannot be overstated.

If he's been fit and sat on the bench these past couple of weeks then Lennon really had lost the plot.

It was only last week as he was injured pre Christmas?

Still he’s a proper leader and stood up when it mattered today.

I actually love this man. Not lost this season and showed today why.

Lennon's handling of him is a sackable offence in itself.

He was on the bench for at least 2 games before Xmas.

Thought Gray was excellent today, like as has been mentioned, spoke to McLean on several occasions just making sure we weren’t going to get rolled over by dodgy decisions. Though the tackle on the boy on the touch line showed the desire to win we have been lacking lately, know idea what the erse of the commentator was going on about saying he was lucky & reckless doing that, class act & a better side with a leader in it.

David Gray is the heartbeat of that team. His willingess to get up the park and his drive was key today.

If he's fit then he should play.

He was up and down that line for 90 minutes and looked one of the fittest Hibs player. That suggests to me he has been fit for at least a few weeks. How our Captain has not been starting given he is not only a good defender but regularly gets in the goals and gets the ball into the box is one of the most bizarre selection bloopers amongst the many Lennon made. I have no idea if he and Lennon had a falling out but from the evidence it certainly looks that way.

I know none of you mean any harm, but it’s a little bewildering to see so few posters remembering to give Sir David his proper title. You don’t become a Knight of Hibernia just for people to keep referring to you by your birth moniker.

Great to have him back today, thought his tackle on the boy out on the wing was solid. Couldn’t believe the commentators who thought he should have been sent off. Took the ball cleanly, took the man too right enough but got more than enough on the ball, he knew he had been tackled by a legend.
Their captain was on his erse most of the game, felt a touch and went down...embarrassing.

Our record this season when Gray has played a meaningful amount* of time in the game:
    Played 11
    Won 8
    Drawn 3
    Lost 0

Our record when Gray hasn't played any meaningful amount of time in the game:
    Played 20
    Won 4**
    Drawn 8
    Lost 8

    *At least 45 minutes.
**Two of these wins came at home to NSI Runavik and Elgin City.
    Now played 12, won 9.

When Sir Dave is in the team it's all just so much better.
Stay fit SDG. We need you so much.

Just checked - 1 game before Christmas and 2 more before the break.

Incredible that we didn’t find a place for him.

If we were to list Lennon's biggest mistakes, the under-appreciation of David Gray must be right up there with the man management of Flo.

Did David not say that he came back too soon earlier perhaps being protected from himself cf with Porto...

Sir David Gray is by far our most important player in terms of fighting spirit and must play.

I just love watching the last 20 mins of the cup final his never say die attitude is unbelievable, he truly is the biggest legend I have ever had the privilege to watch at this club.

Maybe before Christmas but since. Daz, Porteous and Hanlon all thrown back in early
