GK's are encouraged to stand around their own 18 yard line when the ball is in the oppositions half.

I thought Bogdan was at fault for both goals last night, far too far off his line for the 1st and should've cleared the ball for the 2nd, the ball was only on the 6 yd line ffs, the St Mirren keeper showed exactly how to punch a ball away, he did it 3-4 times, Bogdan let his CB's deal with that free kick instead of dealing with it himself.

What bugs me is that we have always had really good keepers throughout the years that very rarely made alarming glaring basic stupid errors until recent years that is.
Maybe I am just too old and have high expectations away above and beyond our station
I blame Zibi! 😁

Once in a game is once too much for me 😁
You would think the Video Coach would highlight his technique as it won Sky Sports goal of the day not an earth shattering accolade but out there

As soon as the ball left his foot from his own half I knew it was a goal
Indeed the wifie sitting beside me screamed “Aw naw!”

Rocky will get his bingo number called Saturday I reckon and Bogdans confidence will be thrown to the dogs. Although it wouldn’t surprise me if Whittaker has the gloves on Saturday.

Professional keeper should never be lobbed from distance unless he is way off his line which Bogdan was and his positioning was hardly fine. Wouldn't drop him though as he hasn't done enough wrong.

Here is Thibaut Courtois, the man who has recently won the award for best goalkeeper in the world, being lobbed from distance.

Once again I repeat I am not blaming or asking for Bogdan to be dropped all I am saying Is forewarned is forearmed he was taken by surprise and I don’t think he would have been surprised if he was expecting to be lobbed after all he scored the same goal two weeks earlier versus Hearts

I admit **** happens
Bogdan should have been primed that the boy had it in his locker and to be aware of it
Jim Herriot was a first class goalie for HIBS lost three in Split never played for HIBS again

Even Hanlon, who is usually so reliable, is making school boy errors.....along with another stalwart - McGregor
Porteous is still young and less intuitive than the two mentioned so can be forgiven for his recent school boy calamity.

Happy with Bogdan, especially with distribution compared to Marciano.
Yesterday’s goal seemed like a combination of weak hold up play and a screamer from the boy.

Yep, unlucky for Bogdan to pick up a late knock like that but I’d be keeping Marciano in goals for now. Defence seemed to trust him a bit more with collecting through balls, especially Porteous I thought.

Marciano was unlucky to lose the gloves at Hibs and has been a great keeper for us. Bogdan's done ok, but - for me - Rocky has a better understanding with our defenders who seem to have real faith in him. Glad to see him back.

Marciano made me a lot more confident today, he looked solid and his distribution was excellent, I think Bogdan has done well but I’d rather Rocky was back as 1st choice.
