We all remember the adverts, but didn’t think they were still trading

See they are in the news today, who uses these sort of services nowadays, possibly older people. £11.23 for a 90 second call, outrageous

Ahh good old Ofcom! Showing their teeth at last...now that all the money has been made!

Here’s a wee article from 6 years ago that shows just how much was creamed off and just how pro active the regulator has been after identifying a duopoly...

And good to see there is clearly no cosy relationship still with Ofcom and BT who miraculously slashed prices (a just about believably long enough time before today’s announcement) last May to a, nicely acceptable for all parties, level below the cap.

I remember when directory enquiries was deregulated, there was a number you could use - 118751 - which gave money to Hibs every time you called it. I used to use it from work whenever I needed a number.
